LONDON, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak spent about one-and-a-half hours meeting with Malaysian professionals here, resuming his working visit despite concerns over St Jude storm that swept South West England and Wales.
The networking lunch with the Malaysian diaspora was organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), the national trade promotion agency.
Also present were Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Matrade Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Wong Lai Sum.
Malaysian High Commissioner to United Kingdom Datuk Seri Zakaria Sulong also attended the event.
Some 20 working professionals across various sectors including fund management, legal, banking and properties, took the opportunity to see the prime minister, who is currently on a working visit to Manchester and London from Oct 27 to Oct 31.
Earlier, Najib cancelled his trip to Manchester due to severe weather as a result of St Jude's storm.
