Police continues to harass Uthayakumar at his residence on June 13 & June 14, 2009. On June 13, 2009 at around 11.00pm, five (5) policemen for apparently no reason visited his present residence in his fiancées flat and started harassing her old and sickly parents.

They were questioned about his whereabouts in threatening and intimidating manners that shocked these elderly couple. Further they proceeded to take pictures of the flat both inside and outside of it.

Are we leaving in a police state? What right do the police have to enter into premises to question and take pictures. Is this a raid? Even so, is it not correct that a warrant should be produced for such unlawful invasion and trespass of private property?

The police has to get their act right that the public cannot be subjected to such arbitrary act for their whims and fancies without the due process of the law.

Uthaya Kumar was a prisoner of conscience and now a free man, not some thief in charade to hoodwink the police force. Is he hiding from you? Why does the police resort to tactics to intimidate and harass some old folks using the power that is granted to them by the public ie the voters and the tax payers unless the police force feels that it is above the law and it could do anything it wants, when it chooses, and their victims are their choice at the expense of the peace loving public.

HINDRAF condemns the act of the police on the intimidation acts that are carried out on Uthaya Kumar, nor condones to such behavior in a so called democracy state.

What is even more baffling is, there is a permanently parked van outside the flat that obviously watches his movement, please see attached photo, so HINDRAF fails to comprehend why then 5 policemen needs to enter his fiancées flat at 10.00pm and intimidate some old folks.

HINDRAF questions’ such actions and motives by the police force nor will it stand quietly to address such issues as at large, it is not about HINDRAF, or Uthaya Kumar but the erosion of human liberty in Malaysia to live peacefully without a misguided mechanism through government tools ie the police, judiciary, executive powers to trample over basic life, liberty and pursuit of happiness in a multicultural society to flourish in Malaysia.

HINDRAF does not want a police state in Malaysia, nor does the public desires for one, so an overtly act by the police force disregarding the process of law needs to be questioned before Malaysia actually becomes a police state.

(NST) PETALING JAYA: The death of another man in police custody yesterday had the deceased's family crying police brutality.

A. Gnanaprakasam, 53, was found dead near the toilet inside his cell at the Damansara police station, five days after he was picked up while allegedly trying to break into a house in Sungai Buloh.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said a guard found the body, which had no visible injuries, while doing his rounds at 8.05am.

"So far, we've found no elements of foul play in his death. However, we will wait for the post-mortem report from the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) to find out the cause of death.

"I urge all parties to please not speculate on this incident and let us carry out our investigations," he said at the district police headquarters yesterday.

He added that police had questioned Gnanaprakasam's four cell-mates, who were asleep when he was found dead.

"We will also question officers and personnel who were involved in the deceased's case," said Arjunaidi, adding that the deceased had nine previous offences on his criminal record, mainly drug-related.

Gnanaprakasam, a wiring contractor, had also once been held at the Simpang Renggam detention centre.

Earlier, however, Gnanaprakasam's wife M. Manimatalai claimed he had been assaulted by police.

Speaking at the UMMC mortuary, she claimed her husband had a black eye when she saw him last.

She said Gnanaprakasam had called her on Wednesday to tell her he was on his way to do a wiring job for which he had been hired.

When he did not return home that day, they searched for him at hospitals and police stations and eventually found out he had been arrested and was being held at the Damansara Damai police station.

"My eldest daughter and I met my husband at around 2.30pm on Friday and noticed his right eye was blue-black, but he still looked healthy."

She claimed she was told by a policeman handling the case that her husband had complained to a magistrate while he was taken under remand that he had been assaulted by police.

The family only received a call about 12.20pm yesterday, when they were asked to identity Gnanapraksam's body at the UMMC mortuary.

On allegations by the deceased's family of police brutality, Arjunaidi said they (family) should have lodged a report about their claim immediately after learning about it.

Pada tahun 1994, satu gambar menunjukkan VK Lingam dan Ketua Hakim Negara ketika itu Tun Eusoffe Chin cuti bersama di New Zealand dalam situasi yang melampaui tatasusila professional dan pengendalian yang tidak beretika Ketua Hakim tersebut. Lingam juga terlibat dalam laporan audit skandal Perwaja Steel oleh PriceWaterhouseCoopers yang dibentangkan di Parlimen yang melibatkan kerugian berbillion ringgit wang rakyat.

Dalam video ini, Lingam dirakam berbicara dengan Ketua Hakim Negara, Tun Ahmad Fairuz Abdul Halim di mana nama saya, antara lain, disebut secara khusus.

Perbicaraan tersebut adalah dalam konteks konspirasi untuk mempengaruhi lantikan hakim kanan dan campurtangan badan kehakiman. Oleh itu, kami mempunyai sebab kukuh dan percaya bahawa perbualan pada tahun 2002 ini menentukan hasil beberapa perbicaraan mahkamah penting, termasuk kes saya.

Video ini juga melibatkan Vincent Tan dan Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. Vincent Tan adalah seorang ahli perniagaan dan jutawan judi yang dikatakan terlibat mempengaruhi proses kehakimam dalam kes Ayer Molek. Tengku Adnan pula adalah pemimpin UMNO dan ahli kabinet yang terlibat dalam konspirasi politik untuk menjatuhkan saya pada tahun 1998.

Skandal video ini mengukuhkan dakwaan kami mengenai konspirasi politik yang melibatkan pemimpin tertinggi negara dan korupsi oleh ketua badan kehakiman. Ini membangkitkan isu mengenai hilangnya kesaksamaan perbicaraan mahkamah di negara ini. Perkara ini perlu disiasat segera demi kepentingan awam dan kami menggesa supaya satu Tribunal Bebas dibentuk segera untuk menyiasat hal yang amat memalukan ini.

Statement by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on the VK Lingam Video Scandal

This video recording implicates the highest office of judiciary in a conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice through the machinations of a lawyer tainted with a scandalous history involving questionable dealings and conduct that brings disrepute to the legal and judicial professions.

In 1994, lawyer VK Lingham was photographed with the then Chief Justice Tun Eusoffe Chin holidaying in New Zealand under circumstances that would give rise to the inference of a serious breach of professional conduct on part of the lawyer and even more serious implications of unethical conduct on the part of the Chief Justice. Lingham was also implicated in the PricewaterhouseCoopers report which was tabled to Parliament following a thorough audit investigation of the Perwaja Steel scandal involving the loss of billions of ringgit of taxpayers’ money.

In this video, Lingham was seen and heard to be talking to the current Chief Justice of the Federal Court, Tun Ahmad Fairuz Abdul Halim wherein my name, among others, is specifically mentioned.

It is mentioned in the context of a conspiracy to influence the appointment of senior judges and pervert the cause of justice. In view of this, we have reason to believe that whatever has transpired in this exchange in 2002 had some bearing on the outcomes in a number of judicial proceedings, including mine.

The video also implicates Vincent Tan and Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. The former is a businessman and gaming tycoon who was allegedly at the center of a scandal involving the abuse of the judicial process now known as the Ayer Molek case. The latter is a prominent Umno leader and a member of the Cabinet who was involved in the political conspiracy to remove me in 1998.

Such a scandalous expose, as indeed this video really is, only serves to corroborate our allegations of a political conspiracy of the highest level and corruption of the highest judicial office, seriously bringing into question the impartiality of judicial proceedings involving the affected parties. This is matter of utmost public importance and we demand the setting up of an Independent Tribunal to investigate this shameful and scandalous episode.

In this regard, we make a special appeal to the conference of rulers to continue to play their constitutionally entrenched role in safeguarding the rights of the people by exercising their discretionary powers in all matters within their jurisdiction.

So, apologies for being away for so long! It’s taken a while to get back into the swing of things, and I admit, between (thoroughly) savouring new experiences and the sprawl that local politics and issues have become, it’s been hard to get back into the game.

But time to return!

There are a million and one really important things to write about. For now, I just wanted to do some quick words on the issue surrounding PAS and this unity talks business.

I’ve defended PAS more times than I can remember on this blog, and with good reason I reckon. I’ve also repeated ad nauseum how PAS really is extremely far from a monolithic party - an observation repeated consistently over the last few weeks with talks of the Erdogan vs. Ulama factions and so on.

I admit, the PAS elections did not go quite the way I hoped (wonder what would’ve happened if Mat Sabu didn’t contest that Deputy Presidency), but that’s democracy.

What I wanted to say mostly is this: the reason no one has been able to elaborate intelligently about the idea of a unity government is simple - it doesn’t make sense.

The idea of both having both BN and Pakatan in a single government at this time belies logic. There are rare circumstances in which such power sharing is vaguely viable, but I don’t believe that the Malaysian political landscape offers such circumstances.

What would it be like? How would they divide power? What interests exactly would be served by such an undertaking? Can BN and Pakatan trust one another in such a government?

My own feeling is that given the answers to the questions above, all this talk of a unity government can only in actuality allude to an unholy union between Umno and PAS.

It is my belief that a majority - perhaps one not as large as I would have hoped, but a majority nonetheless - of PAS members would firmly reject such a notion.

Again though, if you look at the political matrix at present (especially on the intra-Pakatan side), it is understandable why some (fools?) within PAS would think that an Umno-PAS union would be advantageous to them.

(Woe to those who think forays in such a direction could perhaps ’strengthen’ some party’s ‘negotiating power’)

It is our duty to point out why this would be folly. Why it would be the ultimate insult to everything good PAS has ever stood for, and would demonstrate the very worst traditions of putting political expediency and greed for power over principles.

We should call a spade a spade, and realise that this nonsense about a unity government is mostly just testing the water for a reprehensible alliance with the party that has done more than anyone to destroy everything Malaysia could be.

There are those who accuse Malaysia Today of spinning. I suppose it all depends on your interpretation of what a spin is and whether spin means lying, distorting the truth, or spy-war. Spinning means different things to different people. I always jokingly tell people that Malaysia Today does not spin. Malaysia Today just tells our version of the truth.

After all, what is truth? Truth is different things to different people. Some say Jesus Christ was the Son of God. Others say he died on the cross. Yet others say that both these ‘truths’ are in fact false and the real truth is that Jesus was merely a Prophet and that there are 25 such Prophets mentioned by name in the Quran while there were 124,000 Prophets in all since the beginning of time. To these people, the truth is that Muhammad was the last of the Prophets but others say that this is false and that the last Prophet was actually Jesus Christ.

Is one or the other lying? Those who say that Jesus was the Son of God or that he died on the cross are lying in the eyes of those who say that Muhammad was the last Prophet. And those who swear that Muhammad was the last Prophet are also lying to those who view Jesus as the Son of God and believe that he died on the cross.

Actually, it is not about lying at all. Neither side is lying. They say what they say with full belief and commitment. They believe what they say to be the truth. And there are many amongst them who will kill or die to defend what they believe to be the truth.

Who are we to say whether the Christians are lying or whether the Muslims are the ones who are lying instead? It all depends on your belief and ultimately only God would know which side is right. Christians would certainly consider Muslims, if not lying, at the very minimum are misguided or misinformed. And the same would apply when Muslims evaluate the Christian belief, which they would consider equally misguided or misinformed.

So, just like in the example of religion, spinning would all depend on which side of the political divide you happen to stand on. One man’s spin would be another man’s gospel.

When I whack Malays and Muslims, those who hate Malays and/or Islam would cheer me on and equate me to Mandela and Gandhi both rolled into one. And there are many such people in Malaysia Today. Of course, the Malays/Muslims in turn view me as a traitor to my race and an apostate to my religion both rolled into one.

When I whack Chinese or Indians, then these same people who earlier sang my praises now consider me a sell-out, a Trojan Horse, someone who is promoting a secret Umno agenda, maybe it’s not really me writing those articles after all but someone else writing them in my name, I have changed, it must be that life in exile has made me mad, I am so grumpy nowadays, and so on and so forth.

Yes, one man’s spin is another man’s gospel. The only thing we need remember is that we can’t please everyone. When we say white those who like black will not agree. And when we say black the white supporters get upset. And when we mix black and white and come out with grey then both sides would not be happy while those who like grey will suddenly come out in support.

Even a simple thing like that can become complicating. And they purposely go looking for faults so that they can whack you. For example, the instant they can’t log in to the site they will write long essays in their blogs accusing Malaysia Today of banning readers and of censoring postings. They also list down the names of others who, according to them, have been banned as well.

Of course, when we investigate, we find it is not true. None of them were banned. But the allegation has been made and suddenly Malaysia Today is now an Umno website and the Administrators are probably Special Branch officers from Bukit Aman.

I wrote about this before but maybe it is time to repeat what I said in the past. People scream about freedom of expression. Sure, Malaysia Today is trying its best to allow that. In fact, we are not just allowing it, we are trying to promote and encourage it.

But many forget that Malaysia Today, although it can now be considered ‘public property’, still has an owner. And you are allowed in to Malaysia Today as a guest and at your request. But the owner has the final say about what goes on in his domain, which is his home.

You no doubt have a right to express yourself. But in someone’s home you must treat that right as a privilege. You can’t demand privileges to be transformed to rights just because that is how you like it.

For example, in my own home, I can smoke my cigars or pipe when I am writing. But when I am on the computer doing my work in my friend’s home I do not smoke in his/her home. Even if my friend smokes I do not automatically light up. I wait until he or she starts smoking and then I ask whether he/she minds if I too smoke. If not I walk outside and smoke in the garden or on the veranda.

Sure, smoking is my right. I do that in my own home. Why can’t I also do that in your home? Why are you denying me my right? Well, because it is not a right but a privilege.

I know what you are going to say now. You can’t compare smoking with commenting in Malaysia Today. Smoking has issues of health attached to it. Well, commenting in Malaysia Today is also about my health. I was detained under the Internal Security Act in September last year for various ‘crimes’, one of them related to comments in Malaysia Today. So, comments can also be detrimental to my health -- my mental health when I am under solitary confinement and 'tortured' with many hours of religious sermons from the JAKIM people dressed in white robes and skullcaps. And what you comment determines my mental health. So I can ban what you comment just like you can ban me smoking my cigars and pipe in your house.

Your house, your right. My house, my right. Get it?

Let’s look at another scenario. Say you are a member of Selangor Club, Lake Club, the National Press Club, or whatever. All clubs have rules such as dress code and code of conduct. They can disallow you entry into the club if you wear slippers or collarless T-shirts. If you quarrel with other members or shout four-letter words at the top of your voice they can suspend you or sack you from the club.

No doubt you are a paying member. You could even be a committee member of the club. But there are rights and there are privileges. And you do not have the right to do certain things considered in breach of the club rules or else your membership privileges will be withdrawn. In your own home you can walk around naked and curse your mother’s pussy and nobody cares.

Anyway, I am going to solve this once and for all. It is time we settled his matter because the issue appears to crop up time and again. I am going to transfer ownership of Malaysia Today to a group of people and allow them to decide how the site is to be run. They will have full authority to decide on the form and function of Malaysia Today. After that Malaysia Today will be out of my hands. Let Malaysia Today become a fully-fledged public domain run by members of the public for members of the public. I shall not interfere in the management of Malaysia Today.

I shall of course continue writing articles for my columns until such time they decide they have had enough of me and give me my walking papers. Malaysia Today will cease to be Raja Petra and Raja Petra will cease to be Malaysia Today. I will be reduced to merely a contributor or columnist of Malaysia Today and no longer its owner or manager. Then you all can do what you like.

Okay, back to the issue of spinning. Anwar Ibrahim has said that Chin Peng should be allowed to return to Malaysia. Now, the mainstream media is going to spin this issue over the next few days. But why do they not call it spinning? And why if we counter what they say it is declared spinning?

So what if Malaysia Today spins? What’s wrong with that? I make no excuses or apologies for that. When we are attacked we need to defend ourselves the best way we can. All is fair in love and war.

Take the Rosmah Perempuan Puaka series of videotapes as an example. Umno has embarked on a campaign to run down those opposed to the government by attacking their families. And the mainstream media has been instructed to portray Rosmah as a loving mother who travels all over the country giving speeches about family values and how to raise children and so on.

Then they play up stories about Anwar Ibrahim buggering every handsome young man within three feet of him, about Elizabeth Wong being a porn star, about the son of Raja Petra being a gang leader and hired killer. They have even set up special websites about my family and me. My daughter is portrayed as a Bohsia (slut) and my wife as a closet Christian. They say she still goes to church and that I also have converted to Christianity and follow her to church. They even say that my wife ‘entertains’ other men in our home when I am ‘away’ in Kamunting.

I suppose the Special Branch had been monitoring my house when I was in Kamunting and when Bernard (Zorro) slept at my house they jumped at the opportunity to expose this ‘sex scandal’ involving my wife. And when Bernard came to Kamunting the next day to see me and joked that since I am inside he is now dating my wife, the hidden microphones in Kamunting picked that up as well. Then, when I was released, Azmi Sharom, during a candlelight vigil in Petaling Jaya, said in front of 200-300 people, “Welcome home Pete. Unfortunately, now that you are home, I won’t be able to spend time with your wife any longer.” Invariably, the Special Branch records all speeches made at the candlelight vigils in Petaling Jaya and this is even more ammunition to use against me.

Anyway, the bottom line is, I am not in public office and if they want to use all this ‘material’ to run down my family it does not perturb me one bit. I am not saying that two wrongs make a right. But when they expand the boundaries of what is kosher, and when families now become fair game, then they should not grumble when I also play by the rules that they have established. I can be as dirty as they are. In fact, I can be even dirtier.

Now they are going to attack Anwar for his statement on Chin Peng. He is going to be painted as a traitor to the Malay race. They are even going to get the armed forces people to make statements condemning Anwar. Their objective is to attempt to turn the Malays against Anwar, in particular the Malays in the opposition -- the Umno Malays will not support Anwar anyway even if he makes a statement saying that he will defend the New Economic Policy till the last drop of his blood.

So, in short, what will Umno and the mainstream media do? They will spin. And how, therefore, do we fight back? Well, we also need to spin. A spin versus a spin. Do we have any other options? What alternatives are there open to us?

We must note that the Emergency was from 1948 to 1960. An estimated 5,000 people died, half of them armed forces personnel. But not all were Malays. Many were Mat Sallehs from UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. There were Ghurkhas who died as well.

Because of this Chin Peng can’t be allowed to return to Malaysia and Anwar Ibrahim is a traitor to the Malay race for suggesting he be allowed to return. And the other traitor who wants Chin Peng to be allowed to return is Zaid Ibrahim who yesterday joined PKR. But Chin Peng was not the only CPM leader. There were many others in the CPM hierarchy, Malays included. And they were allowed to return. And they too carried arms and shot people and killed Malaysians. Why were they allowed to return when they are as guilty as Chin Peng?

This is how we need to counter-spin in reply to the Anwar and Zaid are traitors to the Malay race argument.

What about the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation from 1963 to 1966? Many Malaysians as well as Mat Sallehs were also killed in this Konfrontasi with Indonesia. But the government has never raised this issue to remind Malaysians how dangerous and cruel the Indonesians were.

Indonesia wanted to bring about the destruction of Malaysia. They said so openly. They sent their military into our territory to kill many of our soldiers. Aren’t the Malays and military personnel upset about this as well? How do they propose we punish Indonesia the way we are punishing the CPM?

If you want to spin, then do it intelligently. And if you want to spin then expect us to counter-spin. And when we use the same tactics you use to attack us to attack you in return, do not cry foul. You established the rules. We are just playing by your rules. And when you spin that our family members are hired killers and sluts then expect us to hit you back with similar responses.

For years we have had to endure personal attacks. Even as far back as 1999 they were spinning stories about Nurul Izzah and the ‘affair’ she was having with Ezam Mohd Nor, the then PKR youth leader. Now that Ezam has joined Umno and is travelling the country to attack Anwar they have, of course, stopped this spin. If not we would still be hearing about the so-called sex scandal between Nurul Izzah and Ezam.

I repeat, I am not saying two wrongs make a right. But in a war we use the best weapon we can get our hands on. And we have to defend ourselves the best way we can when under attack. And sometimes the best form of defence is to attack. So expect us to attack whenever we can. And what is considered a spin to one person could be viewed as the gospel to another.

In 2007, six (6) police officers and two (2) underworld figures signed Statutory Declarations alleging that senior police officers right up to the IGP have links with the Chinese drugs, prostitution, illegal gambling and loan-shark syndicate based in Johor and which was expanding its operation throughout Malaysia. Another police officer made a police report alleging that his family was kidnapped by the ACA to force him to change his statement while the head of the CCD and his lawyer were arrested and charged for alleged criminal offenses as punishment for detaining underworld bosses under the Emergency Ordinance.

Saya, Manimaran a/l Palaniappan (K/P Polis No: D/94894) yang beralamat di Ibu Pejabat Kontinjen (IPK), JSJ, Johor dengan ini sesungguhnya dan seikhlasnya berikrar dan menyatakan seperti berikut:-

1. Saya bekerja sebagai seorang anggota polis berpangkat Pemangku Sarjan Mejar (P/SM) di Ibu Pejabat Kontinjen (IPK), JSJ, Johor. Sebagai anggota JSJ, saya menerima arahan dari pegawai atasan di JSJK. Saya membuat Akuan ini demi menjaga keselamatan peribadi dan integriti saya sebagai seorang pegawai polis berhubung tugasan dan siasatan yang saya lakukan dan arahan yang saya terima.

2. Pada 11.07.2005, saya telah terima arahan dari T/KPD Johor Baharu Utara (Skudai) Johor iaitu Supt. Tan Sook Fuan mengarahkan saya menjalani pertukaran ke D7, IPK Johor. Saya dikehendaki melapor jam 1400 hrs hari yang sama dan diarahkan melaporkan diri kepada ASP. Hedzir Bin Hussin – T/PT – D7, IPK Johor. Saya juga diberitahu secara lisan dan menurut Supt. Tan, arahan pertukaran saya secara bertulis akan menyusul kemudian.

3. Saya telah merayu dengan T/KPD dan KBSJD dan IKG Johor Bahru Utara agar saya tidak ditukarkan ke IPK Johor, di atas alasan saya baru sahaja bertukar Daerah JBU iaitu pada 1.11.2002. Namun rayuan saya ditolak dan diarahkan untuk menjalani pertukaran ini kerana arahan dari DIG-Dato Seri Musa Bin Hj. Hassan. Kemudian saya merayu untuk menjalani pertukaran pada 15.07.2006 dan permintaan tersebut diluluskan.

4. Pada 13.07.2005, saya telah menerima arahan pertukaran dari pihak KP Johor yang mengarahkan saya menjalani pertukaran serta merta ke Caw. D7, IPK Johor.

5. Pada 15.07.2005, saya telah melaporkan diri di Cawangan D7, IPK Johor. Kemudian saya telah ditugaskan dibawah ASP. Mohd Hedzir Bin Hussin (T/PT-D7).

6. Saya dan anggota Cawangan D7, IPK Johor yang baru melaporkan diri hadir perjumpaan dengan ASP. Mohd Hedzir Bin Hussin di Balai Polis Tampoi. Dalam perjumpaaan itu, saya dan anggota dikehendaki mengikut arahan ASP. Mohd Hedzir Bin Hussin dalam membantu beliau melaksanakan tugasan yang akan diarahkan dari masa ke semasa oleh pihak pucuk pimpinan iaitu IGP dan DIG.

7. Pada Ogos 2005, saya diarahkan oleh P/DSP. Mohd Hedzir Bin Hussin (dinaikkan pangkat dari ASP) untuk membuka kes fail ke atas tiga (3) orang subjek terlibat dalam kegiatan judi loteri awam haram iaitu penama LAW KENG SING, LAI SIN YAI dan CHEAH HUA SEAY (Hock Soon) di bawah undang-undang pencegahan Akta Kediaman Terhad 1933. Setelah siap ketiga-tiga kes fail di atas telah dikemukakkan kepada pihak D7, Bukit Aman untuk tindakan lanjut.

8. Pada hari yang sama, pada diwaktu malam saya telah dibawa oleh P/DSP. Mohd Hedzir Bin Hussin dan SM/D.59920 NG SWEE MIN ke Restoran Lotus di kawasan Petaling Jaya, Johor Bahru, Johor. Kemudian saya telah diperkenalkan kepada seorang lelaki Cina gemuk yang dikenali sebagai AH HON yang kemudiannya saya dapati beliau adalah adik ipar kepada SM/D.NG SWEE MING.

9. Dalam masa itu telah datang seorang lagi lelaki Cina yang mana diperkenalkan kepada saya sebagai IVAN. Selepas itu, muncul seorang lagi lelaki Cina lagi yang mana diperkenalkan kepada saya oleh P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN bahawa lelaki Cina itu tersebut adalah dikenali sebagai BK TAN. Apabila lelaki Cina datang saya dapati P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN dan SM/D 59920 NG SWEE MIN juga memanggilnya sebagai BK TAN. Oleh itu, saya pun percaya beliau adalah seorang TAN SRI. Setelah lama baru saya dapati lelaki Cina itu adalah BK TAN.

10. Dalam masa itu, P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN telah mengenalkan saya kepada BK TAN tersebut dan menyatakan saya adalah pembantunya dalam memproses kes fail. Saya jiuga dapati ketika itu, P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN dan SM/D, NG SWEE MIN telah menyatakan hal Pengedaran kes fail ke atas 3 orang suspek tersebut. Kemudian P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN dan telah ditanya oleh BK TAN kenapa penama-penama ini tidak diambil tindakan dibawah Ordinan Darurat (KA/MJ) NO. 5/69 keatas mereka. Lalu P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN menyatakan kegiatan perjudian tiada arahan untuk membuka kes fail dibawah Ordinan Darurat kerana tiada kekerasan ataupun ancaman.

11. Semasa dalam perjalanan balik ke Johor, saya telah bertanya dengan SM/D. NG SWEE MING siapakah BK TAN dalam organasasi PDRM dan saya diberitahu beliau adalah seorang ahli panel penasihat yang dilantik oleh PM untuk menasihati pucuk pimpinan PDRM iaitu IGP/DIG dalam penambahbaikan pasukan PDRM. Saya juga dimaklumkan BK TAN adalah seorang bekas pegawai risik tentera. Manakala AH HON adalah seorang ‘ground comander’ bagi zon selatan dalam usaha mengesan merisik intergriti ahli pasukan PDRM.

12. Pada September 2005, saya telah bersama P/DSB. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN pergi ke Bukit Aman untuk mengambil tiga (3) buah kes fail untuk diproses semula dibawah Ord. Darurat (KA& MJ) 5/69 mengikut arahan PJSJ NO.2

13. Pada September 2005, saya telah membantu P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN memproses kembali tiga kes fail tersebut dan dimajukan kembali untuk kelulusan. Kelulusan telah diperolehi pada hari yang sama.

14. Pada hari yang sama, saya dapati P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN mengaturkan untuk menangkap subjek-subjek tersebut. Kemudian saya dapati AH HON pun berada di Johor Bahru, Johor dengan beberapa orang lelaki Cina yang tidak kenali untuk mengesan subjek-subjek tersebut. Dimana subjek LAW KENG SING dan LAI SING YAI telah ditangkap dengan dibantu oleh AH HON dan kumpulan lelaki Cina yang dikatakan pegawai / anggota E1 Bukit Aman.

15. Pada November 2005, saya telah diarahkan oleh P/DSP. NG SWEE MIN untuk membuka kes fail ke atas subjek LEE GEE LAM. Setelah mendapat kelulusan tangkapan dibawah Sek 3(1) Ord. Darurat (KA/MJ) 5/69. Penama LEE GEE LAM telah ditangkap dan dihantar ke lokap Bukit Aman.

16. Pada Disember 2005, saya telah diarahkan oleh P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN menemani beliau ke Putra Jaya untuk berjumpa dengan KUP DATO YUSOF ZAINAL ABIDIN. Saya diberitahu oleh P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN bahawa TAN SRI CHIA (BK TAN) telah mengaturkan perjumpaan tersebut dengan DATO KUP untuk berbincang mengenai pertuduhan-pertuduhan keatas subjek LEE GEE LAM. Semasa saya dalam perjalanan TAN SRI CHIA juga telah menalipon P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN dan menanyakan kedudukan kami dan menyatkan beliau telah mengaturkan perjumpaan tersebut.

17. P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN dengan ditemani oleh YA. WAHAB (SFC) KKDN berjumpa dengan DATO’ KUP untuk berbincang pertuduhan ke atas subjek LEE GEE LAM. Saya diarahkan oleh P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN untuk tunggu di bilik pelanggan dihadapan pejabat DATO KUP. Selepas keluar dari Pejabat DATO’ KUP, P/DSP. MOHD HEDZIR BIN HUSSIN menyatakan “Kita terus semua tuduhan yang telah disediakan untuk tindakan dibawah Sek. 4(1) Ord. Darurat”.

18. Pada Mac, 2007, saya telah terima arahan dari ASP. MIOR FAHIM BIN AHMAD untuk mendapatkan maklumat dan keterangan ketas sindiket TENGKU yang merupakan satu sindiket judi empat nombor ekor haram yang bergerak aktif di Negeri Johor.

19. Pada Mac 2007, saya telah arahkan oleh ASP MIOR FAHIM BIN AHMAD untuk membantu beliau membuka kes fail ke atas tiga orang subjek iaitu :-

(i) CHAI NGEW;
(ii) CHAI YEW FAH; dan
(iii) TAN LEE POEY

yang merupakan ajen (taukeh ekor) dari kawasan KLUANG, JOHOR.

20. Pada 28.03.2007, kelulusan tangkapan di bawah Sek. 3(1) Ordinan Darurat (KA/MJ) 5/69 ke atas ketiga penama telah diperolehi dan pada 03.03.2007 ketiga-tiga Penama telah ditangkap di bawah Sek. 3(1) Ordinan Darurat (KA/MJ) 5/69. Kemudian pada 08.04.2007 ketiga-tiga penama telah dibebaskan di atas arahan Pucuk pimpinan JSJ, Bukit Aman.

21. Pada Mac 2007, saya telah membantu ASP MIOR FAHIM BIN AHMAD untuk merakamkan percakapan risikan ke atas seorang lelaki Cina yang ditangkap di pusat pengiraan judi loteri awam haram di Taman Sentosa, Johor Bahru, Johor oleh pihak D7, Bukit Aman sepertimana Johor Bahru Selatan Repot: 7295/2007. Selepas seminggu Penama dibebaskan, beliau telah membuat laporan polis dengan mengatakan saya dan ASP MIOR FAHIM BIN AHMAD telah mengasari beliau ketika merakamkan percakapan risikan. Saya dapati beliau berbuat demikian kerana hendak mencabar keterangan positif yang didedahkan terhadap ketua sindiket tersebut iaitu TENGKU (GOH CHENG POH).

22. Saya juga telah membantu ASP MIOR FAHIM BIN AHMAD untuk membuka kes fail ke atas tiga (3) orang subjek yang terlibat dalam kegiatan judi loteri awam haram dibawah sindiket TENGKU dan kes fail telah dikemukakan ke D7 Bukit Aman dan masih belum ada kelulusan lagi.

23. Pada 26/06/2007, saya dan anggota D7 yang lain telah menerima arahan pertukaran. Dimana saya diarahkan untuk bertukar ke D7, Bukit Aman. Saya dapati arahan pertukaran saya dan Sjn/D.104700 Raja Kumar a/l Govindasamy adalah didorong kerana saya terlibat dalam merakam percakapan positif terhadap TENGKU (GOH CHENG POH) dan ahli sindiketnya yang lain. Keduanya kerana saya terlibat dalam pembukaan kes fail ke atas subjek-subjek di atas yang merupakan ahli sindiket TENGKU tersebut. Selain itu, saya dan Sjn/D.104700 Rajakumar sering menyalurkan maklumat-maklumat judi loteri awam serta melaksanakan Tangkapan dengan diketuai oleh Pegawai Penyelia kami C/Insp. Sundra Rajan a/l Ellumalai (I/12413) yang juga telah ditukarkan ke PGA SIBU. Tindakan saya, C/Insp. Sundra Rajan dan Sjn/D.104700 Raja Kumar mungkin menimbulkan perasaan tidak puas hati PT-D7 P/DSP. NG FOOK LONG. Oleh itu, saya dan yang lain-lain ditukarkan keluar dai Kontinjen Johor.

24. Adalah saya mengatakan bahawa sebagai seorang pegawai polis, saya merasa amat tertekan bahawa tindakan saya mematuhi arahan pegawai atasan saya di JSJ dalam menjalankan risikan menyebabkan saya dikenakan pertukaran. Saya menganggap ini satu penganiayaan terhadap diri, kerjaya, keluarga dan nama baik saya.

Dan saya membuat pengakuan ini dengan sesungguhnya mempercayai bahawa yang sama adalah benar dan mengikut peruntukan Akta Akuan Berkanun, 1960.

IPOH, June 14 – MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has alleged that his former deputy was toying with the Maika Holdings issue to destroy his reputation.

The MIC supreme said that Datuk S. Subramaniam had already said Koperasi Nesa Pelbagai Bhd would withdraw its injunction stopping Maika from selling its subsidiary Oriental Capital Assurance Bhd (OCAB) but had gone against his word.

“He does not want to withdraw the injunction because if Maika is unable to sell OCAB and pay its shareholders, ‘Samy Vellu’s’ name would be destroyed.

“They want to destroy us. They do not want Maika to close because so long as it exists, they can use it to hit at me since I am the founder,” he said today after attending the opening of the Perak Indian NGO’s Consultative Convention in Sungai Siput.

He however added that he had never been afraid of a fight and was ready to face the issue during the party’s coming polls this September.

Samy Vellu also said that if Maika could not sell OCAB, the poor in the Indian community would suffer badly.

“To me now, my main concern is finding another buyer. No matter what, I want the company sold and all 64,000 shareholders repaid,” he said.

He however admitted he was worried that it would not be possible to find a buyer willing to pay as much as the previous one had.

“We had a buyer willing to pay RM130mil for the company but now it has withdrawn because of the injunction.

“We lost such a big sale. I do not know if we can get such a large offer again, especially with the current economic situation,” he said.

Without naming anyone, Samy Vellu said he hated people who were only friends on the surface but enemies at heart.

“I hate that kind of thing. If I hated someone, I would tell him to his face.

“I won’t act like a friend and then hold an axe to his back,” he said.

Samy Vellu also said he would announce in a month's time who he planned to endorse for the post of deputy president during the party polls.

“I have not decided that yet. I want someone whom I can work with easily and who truly cares for the Indian community,” he said.

Three are vying for the post — current deputy president Datuk G. Palanivel,

vice-president Datuk S. Sothinathan and Subramaniam.

SUNGAI SIPUT, June 14 (Bernama) -- MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said today the candidate who wants to occupy the post of party deputy president in the elections in September must be able to work with him and have deep concern for resolving the problems of the Indians in the country.

He said he had yet to determine who the right candidate was. He had said earlier that he would announce whether he would back any candidate or otherwise before the party elections on Sept 12.

"All contestants must abide by the party regulations. As the party chief, I will monitor this. Party members cannot do whatever they like as this will be to the party's detriment," he told reporters after a meeting with representatives of several non-governmental organisations, here.

Samy Vellu, who was returned unopposed as party president in March, had said that this would be his last term and that whoever gets elected as the deputy president in September would take over the party presidency after him.

The September elections will see contests for the post of deputy president, three posts of vice-president and 23 posts of Central Working Committee (CWC) member.

Former deputy president Datuk S. Subramaniam and vice-president Datuk S. Sothinathan have announced their intention to contest the deputy presidency.

Incumbent deputy president Datuk G. Palanivel has yet to announce his intention.

Another likely candidate for the post would be party secretary-general and Human Resources Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam.

MIC Youth Has Much Soul-searching To Do - Palanivel

KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 (Bernama) -- MIC Youth has to do a lot of soul-searching and needs to plan well its actions, progress and direction for the next five years, MIC deputy president Datuk G. Palanivel said today.

He said the youth wing also needs to identify its priorities in terms of the needs of the community.

"MIC Youth has a lot of work on its hands -- to involve the participation of all Indian youths in the country. It is a huge challenge which I sincerely believe it can do and will rise up to meet successfully.

"At this point in the history of our country, considering the role and place of Indians, we have no choice but to succeed. The youths need to focus on their strengths and build further on them. And, as those of us who know only too well, weaknesses in our midst can and will be exploited," he said in a statement.

These weaknesses must be overcome, said Palanivel, who is former deputy women, family and community development minister.

"What do Indian youths expect from politics and political leadership? What can the MIC offer? What are the areas we have been successful in and what are the areas in which we have failed?

"These are the serious questions that must be addressed with honesty and without fear. Unless we are brave enough to seek truthful answers, we cannot plan and execute our success stories for the coming years. That is our first order of work -- clarity in our thinking on our road to success," he said.

Palanivel also said that the youth wing needed committed leaders, willing to work and travel the tough road ahead with vision and energy, both in body and spirit.

"We need youth leaders who understand how to work and make the best use of the 'elder' and experienced leaders' input because there are far too many lessons that we have learnt and which we need to hand down and 'enrich' the youth agenda so that, by reflection and intelligent interpretation, they can move forward with confidence and commitment," he said.
