Malaysians came close to being international pariahs as far as entering UK is concerned.
Wisma Putra now says Malaysians have passed United Kingdom's Visa Waiver Test (VWT) and UK will not introduce visa requirement for Malaysian passport holders.
Let's hope Malaysia will continue to ensure the UK government on the high level of security at all our international airports -- not many by numbers anyway -- so that Malaysia will no longer be a transit point for illegal immigrants into the UK, which is the sore point to UK in the first place.
With this reprieve, Malaysia must now impose strict sanctions on immigration offenders from our side who continue to overstay and work illegally in the UK, besides cracking down on human smugglers previously detected in Malaysia.
That will save us bona fide travellers all the agony of being lumped together unfairly with the pariahs.-Screenshots
