Nine Suspects In Sand Smuggling Case Remanded For Five Days

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- The Kajang Magistrate's Court on Thursday allowed nine suspects in a sand smuggling case to be remanded for five days beginning Thursday.

Magistrate Faisal Noor Hadi allowed all the suspects to be remanded until Monday.

On Wednesday, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) announced the arrest of 34 people in five states on suspicion of being involved in stealing and smuggling sand.
