MCA central committee member Chai Kim Sen said Zaiton’s remark has hurt
the feelings of Malaysians and does not respect freedom of expression.
“Zaiton Mat should publicly apologise for her comments. Not only does
such remarks hurt Malaysians… but it reflects her mind is unable to keep
up with progress,” said Chia in a press release today.
Zaiton’s remarks were made after she lodged a police report on De 27 against the so-called rally on New Year’s Eve aimed at toppling BN as the federal government.
In a separate press release, Kuantan MCA Wanita chief Tee Choon Ser said Zaiton’s comments had reflected her narrow mindedness.
“Although some people might be dissatisfied with the policy, it does
not mean they are unpatriotic… No one should be told to ‘leave the
country’,” said Tee.
Zaiton’s remarks had led to angry netizens flooding Wanita Umno’s Facebook page with angry messages since Saturday.
