UMNO DPM: Tamil schools not neglected, but the fact is many have to buy their own chairs and tables

The DPM and Education Minister Muhyiddin Yasin claims’ is the typical UMNO answer in Parliament that RM1.8 billion is spent on Tamil and Chinese school teachers. But only an estimated 5% of this goes to Tamil schools. The lion’s share goes to the giant Chinese schools.

For 53 long years UMNO in order to camouflage the pathetic and dilapidated state of Tamil schools they lump Tamil schools with the Chinese schools thereby giving a false impression that sufficient funds actually reaches Tamil schools. UMNO has similarly done the same by lumping the Indians and Chinese in economic business, commerce and corporate sector calculation when implementing national policies.

But up to date hundreds of Tamil school temporary teachers remain untrained and have to end up going for School Holiday Courses (KDC) to qualify as full qualified teachers.

For scores of Tamil schools, for example the Kalai Magal Tamil School in Sg Petani, and the Kulai Tamil School as the latest examples, parents have to buy their own chairs and tables for their schoolchildrens’ use. PKR, DAP and PAS won’t speak up on this matter.

One Malaysia? Multiracial PKR, DAP and PAS?
