Malaysiakini is losing its political activism and is being drawn into partisan politics just like the MSM. It is becoming a slave of the DAP.

Of late Malaysiakini has been blocking news about the woes of the Indian community in general and in specific in the DAP State of Penang , as if DAP is its benefactor. What does that make Malaysiakini, a political activist news site or a biased news site serving petty political purposes, just like the mainstream media, which it is supposed to be shaming with its alternative approach.

We know for a fact that news has been blocked about Hindraf (the real Hindraf, not the DAP Ganabatirau's Hindraf or UMNO Thanenthiran’s Makkal Sakthi ), no matter that the editor in chief Mr.Kabilan, swore to me the other day that this was not the case. Just look at how much of a lie that is when a major breaking news does not even show up on its pages days after it has happened. Hindraf and PR has been in talks and the word has been around since the 10th of November. This is a major development. Do you see any of that in the Malaysiakini Portal yet today the 12th. Why? An oversight? A miss? Hardly. See the invisible hand?

It has already been picked up by a new and relatively unknown portal “Free Malaysia Today” ( see news report below) and put out on the 10th and Malaysiakini does not yet have anything. Whatever the reason, it is obviously losing it.

Malaysiakini, if you carry this on, you are no better then the New Straits Times or the The Star, only your name is different and your benefactors are different. Mr.Steven Gan, Mr. Kabilan, watch your middle age gaffes. You may go down with it altogether, if you do not pull up your socks and start coming clean real soon. You cannot conceal your intent. It is in conflict with the paradigm of openness you are supposed to stand for.

Mr. Kabilan, tell me there is no intention. Tell me , oh, now we have a link to the HRP website, how can you accuse us of cutting out news about Hindraf just because it has differences with Lim Guan Eng. Understand this Mr.Kabilan, I have been personally involved with Lim Guan Eng and it is my opinion that he is screwing it up as a leader, no matter that he has the Chinese votes behind him. Your job is to to report impartially, if you are true to your charter. They have an opinion, I have mine and Hindraf has theirs. You do not decide who is right, who is wrong and who you should include and who you should exclude. I did not pay Malaysiakini for that kind of stuff. I already get a lot of that with the MSM. Your charter if I remember right is to promote Democracy and not the Democratic Action Party. But you are promoting the Democratic Action Party and not Democracy, I am sorry.

As I said the other day Mr.Kabilan, I will start a campaign against Malaysiakini. I am starting , this is my first salvo. Let us see what happens next. If this continues, I will take my campaign another notch and so on until I get to see Malaysiakini back on track.
Online news can be easily served up and for free, Malaysiakini please do not ever forget that. Lim Guan Eng forgot similar fundamentals and his PR partners paid for it - you saw how PR got banged in Bagan Pinang. Do not let similar missed fundamentals hurt Malaysiakini's bottomline and don't let Lim Guan Eng do it for you too.
