Seven planes in the air with Air Asia Indonesia QZ8501

Two other planes were flying at the same level as Air Asia Indonesia QZ8501.

KUALA LUMPUR: Wisnu Darjono, the director of safety and standards of Air Navigation of Indonesia, was reported as saying in detik.com, that the missing AirAsia Indonesia plane QZ8501 was not alone in the sky before it requested an unusual change in route.

“There were seven other planes near QZ8501.”

Uni Emirates Arab 406, AirAsia 502, and AirAsia 550, three of the other planes, were flying at the same level as AirAsia Indonesia QZ8501, said Wisnu.
