IPOH, April 11 (Bernama) -- Perak police have described as misleading a news report which stated that 100 police personnel would be on duty to ensure security at the opening of the State Legislative Assembly Tuesday.
Perak deputy police chief Datuk Zakaria Yusof said they would in fact be there for the ceremonial inspection of the guard-of-honour by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah.
He said police would perform normal tasks in conjunction with the legislative assembly, including traffic control duties.
