ANKARA, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited here today the office of FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S., a leading Turkish manufacturer of armoured combat vehicles.
The Prime Minister, who arrived here Monday for a three-day visit to Turkey, was given a briefed on the company by its Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, K. Nail Kurt.
Also present were Malaysian Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, several Members of Parliament and senior officials.
FNNSS has been an industrial partner of Malaysia for the past 10 years through DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd or DEFTECH.
Najib later witnessed the signing of an agreement between DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S. on technical assistance, training and transfer of technology.
FNSS was represented by Kurt, and Deftech by its Managing Director, Datuk Seri Mohd Khamil Jamil.
Najib later watched a demonstration of the capability of armoured combat vehicles manufactured by FNSS.
Najib will be guest of honour at a dinner hosted by the Turkish Prime Minister Tuesday night.
