There will be more Chinese and Tamil programmes over Radio Televisyen Malaysia’s (RTM) TV2 channel from next year. Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said TV2 would also feature more programmes that portray the lives and aspirations of the people in Sabah and Sarawak. “Next year, we will have new programmes which will help enhance our image, besides giving more exposure on Sabah and Sarawak,” he said at the ministry’s breaking-of-fast with the minister at the Muhammadi Mosque in Angkasapuri today.
The minister said the programmes would not just be mainly documentaries and dramas, but also those with the role of interpreting government policies and programmes for better public understanding.
