SAPP asks Musa to explain MACC probe

By Queville To - Free Malaysia Today

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman has been urged to explain reports that several persons allegedly linked to him have been questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to facilitate investigations into money-laundering activities.

Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) information chief Chong Pit Fah said the party had received many calls from both the concerned public as well as members of the state Barisan Nasional about a recent news reports on the matter.

Chong said the state government and Chief Minister Musa should give an explanation to clear the air. He also queried if the money laundering case was related to a RM500 million bond issued by the state government.

Chong said it was troubling to note that a huge sum of money was involved in the ongoing investigations when Sabah is known to be the poorest state in the country.

Chinese daily Nanyang Siang Pau on its June 11 report reported that eight people allegedly linked to Musa had been detained by MACC to facilitate investigations into cases tied to the high profile case of a businessman linked to Sabah Umno who was apprehended at the Hong Kong International Airport on Aug 18, 2006 with RM16 million in cash.

Another report suggested that the MACC had taken into custody a senior lawyer and others here in an operation last week.

MACC still making their investigation about the money laundering scheme..so far there's no charges been made to Musa regarding this issue..i think Musa don't need to explain anything about it because there's no solid evidences that link Sabah CM with the particular issue..just a rumors that we read in the unconfirmed news report which influenced the people's perception to Musa..

Making statement without further investigation is nothing. So it is better to leave the decision to the authority.

MACC should be making more investigation on the money laundering scheme. notwithstanding to ask Datuk Musa Aman the explanation no need. because Datuk Musa peaceful will not over this case. hope authorities should be seeking more evidence for this case.

Without any solid evidences, I don't think that Musa is in any wrong doings. We shouldn't make any accusation statement regarding Musa's case.

Welcome to the political world. Accusation by accusation and allegation by allegation will either make you stand your grand with supports or will be your downfall when your supporters sided the either no matter whether you are innocent or not.

Consider this just a rumours as there are no news that the CM was slapped with money-laundering allegations.

Well, politic has never been clean. There will always dirt covering it. This is what you call "allegation". MACC is still doing their investigation for money-laundering and rumours are spreading like wildfire which neither was confirmed or acknowledged. So, we will just have to wait and see..

Hanya sebab orang tu ada link dengan DMA, tak bermaksud DMA terlibat kan.. so buat apa lah mahu kaitkan hal ni dengan DMA pula...

aku bah said...

Hal ni masih dalam siasatan dan rasanya tak pelu paksa Musa Aman perjelaskan hal ni. Musa Aman pernah cakap dia tak terlibat (kalau tak silap lah), so buat apa kita mahu kejar2 dia lagi... Biaralah pihak yg bertanggungjawab yang buat kerja dorang k:)

aku bah said...

Saya yakin Musa Aman tak terlibat dalam hal ni. Jadi sama2 lah kita mennati dgn sabar hasil siasatan. Tanpa bukti kukuh janganlah kita anggap yg bukan2 pasal CM kita ni.

aku bah said...

Biasalah tu merah. Pedulilah apa orang mahu cakap yang penting, masyarakat tahu membuat penilaian :)

Apapun, saya harap gosip ni janganlah diperbesarkan lagi. Sebagai sabahan kita kena jaga nama baik CM kita ba. Kalau orang luar tahu, pasti akan memberi tanggapan buruk terhadap negeri kita.
So sabarlah ya, hal ni pasti dapat disiasat juga.

why SAPP asks Musa to explain about that? even the MACC who still execute the investigation didn't want him to do that..

Don't simply believe in rumors. It will bring more harm than good.

This YTL is very demanding.

Biarkan la MACC menjalankan tugas mereka. Jangan membuat spekulasi yang akan mengeruhkan keadaan.

Haiya, let the authority do their jobs.

apa kaitan musa aman dgn perkara ni? ini hanyalah kabar angin yang tak benar, tak perlulah nak perbesarkan hal ini.

SAPP asks Musa to explain? How about Yong Teck Lee explain about what happen with during the time Sugarbun ran out of business and closed down and loses RM114 million? Didn't YTL had a share with Ambrose Lee?..Hurm..pot calling the kettle black betul..

My suggestion to YTL is shut up and just let the MACC do their work. Don't even demand.
