After being in the political wilderness for 9 years, Klang businessman K P Samy cleared his first hurdle when he was elected as one of the delegates to the MIC annual general meeting from the MIC Kota Raja division, today.

K P Samy is a well known political figure, who has strong MIC grass root support, has won a seat in the powerful MIC central working committee (CWC) twice before against Samy Vellu’s official line up.
But, being an ardent supporter of former MIC deputy president Subramaniam, he was unable to shine in MIC. But things have changed in MIC after the march 8th. general elections where MIC was virtually wiped out that loosened Samy Vellu’s iron grip on the party.
According to some reliable sources, K P Samy this time around may not be content to contest CWC but most likely to go for the vice-presidency.
