UMNO ELECTIONS - IS MONEY POLITICS INVOLVED?

With stunning and unrecorded victories recorded at the UMNO Divisional nominations for certain key leaders, and with a wide-spread rumours that money have been used to induce to buy these votes, its time for the UMNO leadership to look at these allegations and declare the nominations for these candidates as 'unacceptable' and declared void, while taking disciplinary action by suspending their membership, making them unable to contest in the March 2009 UMNO General Assembly.

Since the commencement of the UMNO nominations at the Divisional Meetings, there were statement made by certain top leaders in UMNO that money politics was rampant. To kick start, Datuk Seri Utama Rais Yatim had informed that he was aware that money had been used to buy votes with this time around even everyone was taken into account unlike previous occasions.

Now, another presidential candidate who had only garner 1 vote, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah had stated that he is aware that more than 50 divisions have demanded payments for votes.

Its time UMNO President Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi investigate this matter and declare all divisional nominations as void to ensure a clean, reliable and honest election takes place.

When will this happen?
