Man arrested for hitting PM's portrait with slippers

A disgruntled man was arrested after he put his slippers to a portrait of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak outside the Jalan Duta Court Complex.

According to the Sin Chew Daily, the man, in his 60s, was upset over his Socso compensation and being denied pension.

In yesterday's 10.45am incident, the man was found loitering at the complex's gates while slapping a poster of the premier with slippers.

He was advised against the action and told to leave the premises by police but to no avail, the daily reported.

He was aken to a police station at around 12.30pm.

Last year, a 19-year-old girl was investigated for sedition for stepping on a portrait of Najib.
