"I don't want to trouble people. The easiest thing is for the local council... to instruct their lawyer to sue me in court.
"They can charge me, because it is me who is doing this, not the dogs. Am I breaking the law? Am I sinning?" Muhammad Azmi Ismail asked when contacted by KiniTV.
Better known as Pak Mie, Muhammad Azmi, said that Alor Setar City Council has instructed them to evacuate the present premises on Sept 19.
However, the Padang Terap District Council has informed that he and his wife, Mak Intan, cannot relocated their makeshift animal shelter to their chosen area because of local resistance.
While he still does not know where he will move to, Pak Mie said he will not abandon the dogs as they are innocent.
"I will care for these dogs, come what may...My heart is becoming harder because of these things. I will do anything, even if it involves using force," he said.
Meanwhile, Pak Mie, whose tale of selflessness has featured even in international news reports, said he will today meet with Alor Setar MP Gooi Hsiao Leung, who has offered to help to explore his options.
