Care said Wednesday that the remains of tortured Indonesian migrant
worker Ernawati would be arriving in Jakarta from Saudi Arabia on
Friday.
Ernawati died in Saudi Arabia on February 10.
Migrant Care advocacy coordinator Nur Harsono said his organization and the family of Ernawati would pick up Ernawati’s body, tribunnews.com reported.
Ernawati’s family has reported to the Foreign Ministry that Erna was frequently tortured by her employer.
The last time Ernawati had spoken to her family was on February 1.
