(The Star) - Kapar Member of Parliament S. Manikavasagam has filed a police report over alleged abuse of power by a senior official of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The report was filed by at the Klang district police station at 11.30am Sunday.In the report, Manikavasagam alleged that a contact for the new MACC staff uniform, valued almost RM7.5mil, was awarded to a company through direct negotiation without open tender.
He claimed the contract was given without following the proper procedures.
Outside the station, Manikavasagam told reporters that he had all the documents of the alleged contract provided by a reliable source and would bring it up in the coming parliamentary sitting.
