Ong was asked to comment on the possibility of the party holding fresh polls.
“There is nothing more for me to elaborate or say. Let the committee handle it,” he said, adding that he has been keeping in touch with the party leaders on a daily basis.
Ong, who is Pandan MP and Transport Minister, said his team in the constituency was focusing on giving assistance to the people despite the problems in the party.
Besides some monetary aid, the team had also provided other basic services to the people in the Pandan and Ampang Jaya area.
The Pandan MCA branch, in cooperation with some non-governmental organisations, will be providing a free school bus service to the poor community in the constituency by end of this month, he said.
“From the new school term in January, we will provide free the community school bus service to the poor especially those with many children living in the low-cost flats,” he added.
He said it was dangerous for parents to send two or three of their children on a motorcycle to school as they children were not without helmets.
“We are trying to help the low-income group,” he said.
On other initiatives, Ong said the RM1.5mil fund from the Federal Government would be utilised to repair and upgrade the infrastructure in the constituency including the road and the drainage system.
Several healthcare programmes such as voluntary healthcare service and consultancy would also be launched for the people besides the setting up of the 1Malaysia clinic, he added.
