IPOH, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- Ipoh Barat Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Wanita Information chief Faridatul Azlina Ahmad Tanjizi on Monday announced her decision to resign and quit the party.
Faridatul's decision was said to be due to a crisis between Perak PKR Wanita chief Fatmawati Salim and the Ipoh Barat Wanita branch.
"Fatmawati had 'robbed' the rights of the working committee by issuing a notice for a new election for working committee members on Oct 24 without our knowledge," Faridatul told reporters here.
She added that about 100 Wanita members of the Ipoh Barat branch had given Fatmawati a mandate to resign within 14 days, failing which they would also quit the party.
