Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rahim Abdullah said police found six 9mm bullet slugs at the scene.
He said initial investigation revealed Archuthan was a recently released Emergency Ordinance detainee.

A police source said the only witness who could provide information to the police on the incident were the school students.

None, however, have come forward.

“We have obtained a CCTV footage from one of the nearby premises but it does not point to the scene of the crime,” he said.

A student, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was at the library when he heard the shots.
“By the time we went out, we saw people carrying the woman out of the car. I did not see the shooter as it happened very fast,” he said.

A school security guard was inside the guard house when she “heard some loud noise”.
“I thought it was firecrackers because students always throw them into the school compound.

“I did not expect it to be gun shots,” she said, adding that she then ordered all the students into the school compound immediately.
