KLANG, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- One of the candidates for the division chief post in Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) Kota Raja division, who alleged that he was assaulted during its divisional polls by a group of 40 thugs, wants the party's top leadership to expedite its probe into the incident.
S. Kottapan said he came to understand that the probe will be carried out after the party's polls in November.
"By then it would be too late," he told reporters Wednesday at his hospital bed at a private hospital here where is receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the incident.
Asked what he expected of the top leadership, he said:"I want the election carried at the Kota Raja division to be cancelled."
He added that it would be an injustice to him if nothing was done.
In that election on Sept 26, Andalas assemblyman and Selangor state executive councillor Dr Xavier Jayakumar was announced as the winner for the post on the party's website.
