KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- A five-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a school van driver in Cheras.
The incident came to light when the girl cried when she was bathed by her mother on Saturday.
After much persuasion, the girl confided that the school van driver had alleged molested her.
The police picked up a 27-year-old man from his house in Kampung Cheras Baru on Sunday shortly after a report was lodged at Ampang Jaya police station, said Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Abdul Jalil Hassan.
He said the girl, who had been taking the van to her kindergarten since early this year, was the last pupil to be sent home.
This is the second incident in barely one week in the Klang Valley involving school van drivers taking advantage of pupils.
On July 26, the police arrested a van driver who allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl in Petaling Jaya.
