Sustaining Good Interpersonal Relationships Important, Najib Tells PTD Officers

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said sustaining good interpersonal relationships amongst officers in the Administrative and Diplomatic Corps (PTD) was essential for the success of the nation.

"The relationships need not only be formal but also in terms of understanding each other and more importantly, believing in one another," he said at the PTD Alumni's 21st anniversary dinner here Friday night.

He also praised the alumni members for their contributions to nationbuilding, more so during a time of great challenges.

What they did could be felt to this very day, he said, adding that at one time Malaysia was not well known internationally but today, because of their efforts, the country was an important player on the world stage.

As such, he said he hoped their successors would follow in their footsteps and bring the nation to even greater heights.

At the function, Najib also launched a coffee table" book titled "21 Years of Enriching Life", which is a tribute to past members of the corps.

Also present were the prime minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
