Poor elderly Indian denied Welfare help

A poor unemployed elderly Indian couple (one aged 61) are forced to care for their two teenage grandchildren whose father passed away in an accident. They do not have their mother to care for them. Grandfather Chelliah also lost his job as a Security Guard as he had a fall and injured himself and has no income now. Why hasn’t this Indian family been given Welfare help by the Welfare Department? This case is just the tip of the iceberg of the hundreds of thousands of Indians needing Welfare help but have been denied of the same by UMNO. Because they are merely the poor politically and economically weak Indians? Or because Prime Minister Najib Razak’s One Malaysia does not include these Indians? Posted by P. Uthayakumar
