PETALING
JAYA: The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) is calling for
public nominations for its Human Rights Awards 2014.
The
award will honour Malaysians in five categories namely individual
awards, organisation or group awards, media awards, as well as awards
for government agencies and business entities.
Suhakam
chairman Tan Sri Hasmy Agam said this provides a broader opportunity
for the Commission to pay tribute to those who have dedicated their time
and energy towards upholding human rights in their own meaningful ways.
Nominations
will close on 30 June 2014. Nomination forms and other relevant
information can be obtained from the Commission's official portal at
www.suhakam.org.my.
