Over 6,000 Students And Other Malaysians Flown Out Of Egypt

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 (Bernama) -- So far, 6,179 Malaysians including students have been flown out of troubled Egypt to Jeddah through Ops Piramid.

Media officer of the Defence Ministry's Corporate Communications Unit, Major Marina Harun, said that up to 8pm Sunday, 2,404 Malaysians were flown out on three Royal Malaysian Air Force's C-130 aircraft, 2,150 by Malaysia Airlines and 1,625 by AirAsia.

Ops Piramid is an operation to bring out stranded Malaysians in Egypt which is seeing anti-government demonstrations staged in several cities, to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
