Rosmah Heads Sabah Honours List

KOTA KINABALU, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak heads a list of 687 recipients of state awards in conjunction with Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah 63rd birthday, Saturday.

She is among five recipients of the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title "Datuk Seri Panglima".

The others are Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Sabah chairman Datuk Clarence Bongkos Malakun, Finance Ministry secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah, Federation of Sabah Manufacturers president Datuk Wong Khen Thau and Universiti Malaysia Sabah vice-chancellor Datuk Dr Kamaruzzaman Ampon.

Sabah Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun and Datin Raya Erom, wife of former Sabah chief minister Datuk Salleh Tun Said, are among 52 recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) award, which carries the title, 'Datuk'.

Others receiving the PGDK are Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Wanita chief Datin Jamilah Sulaiman, Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment assistant minister Bolkiah Ismail, Tenom Member of Parliament (MP) Raime Unggi, Kunak MP Nilwan Kabang, State Community Development and Consumer Affairs (CDCA) assistant minister Herbert Timbon Lagadan, Sabah State Assembly Deputy Speaker Johnny Mositun, CDCA permanent sceretary Datin Asnimar Sukardi, Fifth Brigade commander Brig Gen Masrani Paiman, State Youth and Sports Ministry permanent secretary Micheal Emban and Universiti Teknologi Mara Sabah campus director Assoc Prof Dr Worran Kabul.

Rear Admiral Datuk Ahmad Kamaruzaman Ahmad, Amri Suratman, Balwant Singh Kler, Dom Ami Hussain, Goh Wak Kheng, Gordon Leong Vui Cheung, Md Idrus Ismail, Kangkawang Panglima Kulang, Dr Jayaram A/L N.S. Menon, John Daukum Polos, Jihek Basanu, Kong Kok Kwah, K. Zainal Abidin A. Jalil, Peter Lee Khun Choi, Misri Barham, Mohd Kamil Kassim, Margaret Fung, Madlis Aziz, Micheal John Steel, Philip Lasimbang, Rohana Mahmood, Henry Tee, Teo Ching Ping, David Wong, Wahid Norbinsha, Aloysius Tan Shu Hing, Chua Ching Wah, Hiew Syn Kiong, Khalid Mohamad, Lai Kim Loi, Lee Nyuk Kheng, Leong Den Choi, Pang Ah Foh, Yap Yun Fook, Datin Noami Chong, Ag Buhtaman Ag Mahmun, Lu Chu Kwong, Dr Allan Mathews, Abu Bakar Yahya and Hamzah Zakaria.

This year, 13 people are being awarded the Justice of the Peace (JP). They are political secretary to the Prime Minister Dr Oh Ei Sun, Elopura assemblyman Au Kam Wah, Penampang Umno information chief Noraini Idris, Chew Kok Woh, Isaac Pang Su Kiun, Datuk John Chee Shi Tong, Mohd Hafarizam Harun, Prof Khairil Jusoh, Pg Saifudin Pg Tahir, Robert Munang, Datuk Tang Yung Hui, Alexandra Chin and Datuk Richard Koh Kin Lip.

Meanwhile, 64 people are recipients of the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), among them State Infrastructure assistant minister Pang Yuk Ming, Kuamut assemblyman Masiung Banah, Matunggong assemblyman Sarapin Magana, Sabah Chief Minister's press secretary Afeiza Khan, the Chief Minister's public relations secretary Zainudin Aman and Beluran Umno head James Ratip.

Several media practitioners receive the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), among them Bernama's Sabah Bureau chief Newmond Tibin, Sabah V FM radio station controller Parini Powiro and the Chief Minister's photographer, Asmat Yahya.

Information Officer Ukim Buandi is being awarded the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK).

A total of 105 people are being honoured the ADK, 158 the BSK, 218 the Bintang Kinabalu while 72 others certificates of commendation (Sijil Kehormat).
