Niqab, Burkas and Islam doesn’t help: Muslim countries lead web searches for ‘sex’, ‘goat sex’, ‘dog sex’, ‘rape’, ‘gay sex’, ‘ass sex’, ‘bird sex’ and ‘sexy child’

Islam appears to contribute to Muslim men turning into sexually distorted and imbalanced individuals. While the Islamic world believe (imagine) that the western world is obsessed and addicted to sex and cause crime and problems, low birth rates and search terms reveal a completely different picture. Muslim addiction to sex and sexual perversions is enormous and evident not only from the Quran and their prophet Muhammad and his history of rape, sodomy, murders, transgender dressing, bestiality, and incest of boys – but by internet statistics strangely correlating to the high volume of sexual crimes by Muslim men.

While Muslims always blame western society for the staggering rape and sexual assault rate by Muslims in society, this does not explain why these crimes are even more common in their own home countries. Nor does it explain why the search term for all kinds of sodomy and perversions are dominated by users in Muslim countries. Muslim and asian countries top all key search term.

We strongly argue that violent rape and other sexual crimes and sexual harassment that are becoming rampant in Europe, and shown to be dominated by muslim men is highly over-represented by muslims, making muslim immigration extremely dangerous to women and children in western society.
“In our religion [Islam], we can’t handle that stuff.” Really? Statistics indicate that Muslims not only can handle it, they want to handle it and are among the most active searching the web for it.

2004-2005: The most commonly used language for the search term sex was again topped by Muslim languages.

2004-2005: Keyword search ‘sex’ according to region was the most sought search term in Muslim countries. Incidentally Muslims commit the most sex crimes and violent rape crimes per capita in the western world, while numbers are more than double of that in their own countries – despise women wearing garbage sacks to cover themselves.

2004-2005: The most frequent search term for sex by cities in 2004 and 2005 were highest from Muslim and Indian cities. Search terms correlated with statistics on sex crimes: India has one of the largest sex crime reports in the world with over 76% of those surveyed admitting to being sexually abused as children (RAHI, New Delhi study).

Google, the world’s most popular Internet search engine, has found in a survey that mostly Muslim states seek access to sex-related websites and Pakistan tops the list. Google found that of the top 10 countries – searching for sex-related sites – six were Muslim, with Pakistan on the top.

The other Muslim countries are Egypt at number 2, Iran at 4, Morocco at 5, Saudi Arabia at 7 and Turkey at 8. Non-Muslim states are Vietnam at 3, India at 6, Philippines at 9 and Poland at 10.^[1]

About a year go, it appears that Cairo was the #1 city that searched for “sex” on Google. Sabbah provides a few graphs detailing who’s searching for sex on the internet. Here is who searched for sex by region:Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for “gay sex.” It’s the number one language for search involving “sexy.” As you can see in that same graph, Iran is at 3 and Egypt is at 4, listed under regions where search on “sexy” was most conducted.Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for “gay man.” The countries that most search for this is currently Malaysia (#1) and Indonesia (#2). For “gay girl,” Arabic is also the 2nd most common language.For “child porn,” Turkey is the 2nd country where this is most searched. Turkish is the #1 language used. Turkey has one of the most searches for the word “porno.” Morocco is at 5. Turkish is #1 language used to conduct the search in. Indonesia is currently #1 country that search for the word “vagina.”
Turkey is not an Arab country, nor are some of the other countries I listed. But they are Muslim, so I thought the findings were fascinating to say the least. All of this information is not in the least bit shocking, but it’s quite ironic.

Egypt is currently #1 for “fat sex.”
Pakistan, Morocco, Turkey and Egypt are at the top of the list when it comes to “animal sex.”
For “children sex,” Pakistan is at #1, Egypt #2 and Iran #3. The most common languages used to conduct the search in are Arabic and Turkish.
For “sexy children,” these results are probably the most disturbing. Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, followed by Turkey at #9.
For “sexy child,” Pakistan is #1, followed by Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey. Common languages are Persian, Arabic, and Turkish.
For “homo sex,” Indonesia is #1, Morocco is at 6.
For “rape,” Pakistan is at 1. Malaysia is at 3.

At least five pornographic websites are among Egypt’s 100 most frequently visited online destinations this year, according to Alexa, a division of Amazon.com that tracks online traffic patterns globally.

The five most visited porn sites in Egypt rank at numbers 15, 23, 29, 67, 83, with two X-rated sites appearing in the country’s top 25 most-browsed sites, the Anaween Arabic news website reported. ^[5]

Authorities say Iranian internet users chalked up more visits to pornographic sites than people from any other country on Ashura Day, a Shiite day of mourning.Mohabat News, the Iranian Christian News Agency, citing a Radio Zamaneh report from the Fars news agency, reports that Ebrahim Bayani, a senior official of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, told a meeting of IRGC commanders and administrators that the Revolutionary Guards Cyber Army has established that among internet users from 182 countries, Iranians made the highest number of visits to “immoral sites” on Ashura Day.Bayani added that these “alarming statistics” and the use of satellites mean “we cannot expect the youth of the country to have any motivation to fast or go to mosque.”^[7]

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict apparently does not disturb and even encourages Arab internet users from consuming kosher Hebrew porn. Operators of a number of porn sites report that between two and 10% of their users arrive from Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority. Some websites even go as far as offering services in Arabic.

According to site statistics, last month there were over 2,000 hits from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The average time a Saudi surfer spends on SexV is 17:23 minutes.Data also shows that 10 percent of the visitors to the most popular sex site in Israel, Domina, are Arabic speakers.^[8]

A ban on pornographic websites in Pakistan by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in November 2011 has led to a surge in the sale of CDs and DVDs of this particular type of entertainment in Karachi.

Dealers at the [Rainbow] centre say they have been seeing sales grow since November.

“People no longer come here for Hollywood or Bollywood movies. They want porn,” said Afaq, who refused to share his full name. “If you ask me, almost 90% of our revenue comes from the sale of such content.”

The PTA asked eight Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to restrict access to a thousand of the most frequented porn websites. The last ISP to comply finished blocking websites last month.
The irony is that the Rainbow Centre dealers download content from the internet as well, said another shopkeeper. “It doesn’t matter if a few websites are blocked. We can still access many more.” Torrents, which are used to download movies, software and other electronic data from millions of personal computers around the world, are used for pornographic content, the dealers said.
But not everyone has the time, internet speed or patience to download entire films.

Memon also claimed that a great deal of pornographic content is downloaded at bank branches, which shut their doors for people at 5 pm.
While Rainbow Centre is enjoying a reversal of fortunes, ISPs are facing unhappy customers. The chief marketing officer at Qubee, Hashim Sheikh, said some large ISPs took time to implement the PTA decision, which could have potentially resulted in customers switching services.
“In recent weeks, many of our normally happy customers have walked into our sales centres and said they do not want the service anymore. Now you can guess what the reason could be.”

Kashif Azeem, the administrator of the apnabroadband portal, which is frequented by people seeking information on different ISPs, says a post related to ban on pornographic websites has received the most hits.

“So many queries are coming in. People want to know if there is any ISP which has not blocked the websites,” he said. “Everyone seems to be in favour of the ban, even if they are searching ‘how to access porn sites’.”

Up to 70% of files exchanged between Saudi teenagers’ mobile phones contain pornography, according to a study in the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom.The study quoted in Arab News focussed on the phones of teenagers detained by religious police for harassing girls.The same researcher also found that 88% of girls say they have been victims of harassment using Bluetooth technology.

From the second Sunday of this month the Hindus of Medinipur town are facing a ‘Jihad against Infidels’ fomented by the fundamental Muslims of the town, even from some Islamic felons coming from outside. 200 Muslim miscreants came together in the late night on Sunday (on 12-05-2013) and rampaged in a Kali Temple near Keranitola in Medinipur Town (West Midnapore Dist of West Bengal). Police imposed partial restriction in portion in the town subsequently. The Bajrangdal and some club members blocked the roads and observed bandh in some areas on Monday morning in the protest of Islamic hooliganism in Mediniapur.

The tension between Hindu Muslims started in the post evening on 12th May, when a Hindu Motor Cycle rider collided with a Muslim bicycle rider and the local Muslims ceased the motorcycle and captivated the Hindu man for a ransom of Rs. 25,000/-. Knowing the situation, the Hindu activists of the town reached the place of turmoil to rescue the Hindu Man without any ransom. Losing the captive, angry Muslim perpetrators gathered stealthily to attack the local Kali Temple as a revenge. The deity of Goddess Kali is fully damaged by the attackers with iron rods and lethal weapons. When the Hindus were getting ready for a retaliation, Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) took the control the area to pacify Hindu wrath by force. Three Hindu boys were detained by police initially. Afterwards police arrested another six Hindu persons, but not a single Muslim was arrested for the damage and desecration of the Hindu deities and the Hindu temple. Mamata Banerjee’s police is very much proactive to protect the Muslim Hooligans in Medinipur and Kharagpur Towns. Some the Hindu protesters were severely beaten up by the cops favoring the Muslims. An Administration, Police and Judiciary trio is plying a foul role against victimized Hindus by denying the bail of the falsely accused persons so far. A legal team of RSS and Bajrang Dal are monitoring the crisis so far. BUT THERE WAS NO NEWS FOR THIS IN THE SECULAR MEDIA IN BENGAL.

But, it was reported in a pro-Hindu website that “on 12/05/2013 at around 9:00 PM, some boys from Goyla Para were gossiping by the roadside near Keranitola on their motorcycles, suddenly a large container truck came in high speed, after delivering motorcycles to a nearby shop Palco Motors, and hit one of the boys. That made the boys furious and they stopped the truck and demanded an apology from the driver. The driver allegedly refused to tender any apology and rather started using abusive language against the boys. This made the boys hostile and they broke the headlamp of the truck. Hearing the chaos, a group of people came out from the Dewan Sporting Club – which regularly receives huge fund from the proprietor of Palco Motors, situated just opposite to the incident. The club secretary Shaikh Laltu and Shaikh Tulu came to the spot immediately along with other boys and started beating the boys. They also started pelting stones towards them. Some brickbats thrown by the club members hit the mazar nearby resulting some damage into it. Then they accused the Hindu boys for desecrating the mazar and attacked the Kali Temple beside the road. They kicked at the idol, destroyed it and started playing with broken idol. Hindu boys from Goyla Para could not tolerate it anymore. They called other people from their area and pounced on them. Allegedly they also attacked the mosque and mazar and damaged its properties. Once, they were gaining the control over the situation, the administration called for RAF from Salua and Sec 144 was imposed.

The situation is still very tensed in the area. Hindus, in the area, are fuming for revenge. It is reported
that even RAF personnel are offering them moral support. Local MLA Mrigen Maity and former commissioner Nazim Ahmed have reached the place and appealed for maintaining peace & communal harmony.“

And Administration and Police authorities are playing a very objectionable role under the dictum of pro-Muslim TMC party from the beginning. Four more Hindu activists of Bajrag Dal have been arrested on 20th May and no Muslim is arrested yet.

All the 13 Hindus arrested so far are being denied from getting bail under a repression made by the ruling party in West Bengal led by an Islamic mentor named Mamataz Banu Arjee.

Najib’s 100-day programme to woo national, party critics

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak is expected to roll out a 100-day programme within days to win over doubters and persuade Umno that he is the best to lead the party and the country, say sources.

The Malaysian Insider understands that borrowing some ideas from the Abdullah administration, the Najib government will also work to improve the public delivery system, cut crime and corruption, enhance transparency and strengthen inter-ethnic harmony.

“Najib wants a quick start, he is already meeting advisers on this,” a source told The Malaysian Insider.

In an interview with Singapore's The Straits Times 10 days ago, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin also said Najib’s 100-day programme is to speed up existing programmes to reduce crime and corruption, and cap the cost of living.

“These are the top three issues that weighed heavily in the urban swing,” he had said, adding that Najib will continue to improve the public sector and economy, and expand civil liberties.

The sources said Khairy, now youth and sports minister, and younger ministers such as Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan will be among those playing a leading role in the 100-day programme.

Najib had named his Cabinet last week, a mix of veterans and new faces, to continue his transformation programmes he initiated in his first four years in office.

He co-opted Transparency International Malaysia president Datuk Paul Low and Malayan Banking Berhad chief executive Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar into the Cabinet while keeping his economics team intact.

Najib’s Barisan Nasional (BN) campaigned on “A Better Nation” platform in the May 5 general election but lost more federal seats, only getting 133 to the 140 won in Election 2008.

Although his Umno won more seats and the coalition took back Kedah, there has been some criticisms about the BN campaign, with long-serving former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad saying he had expected a better performance.

Dr Mahathir’s views are seen as crucial as the veteran leader had criticised his successor Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s moves to reverse some policies and programmes after winning the coalition’s biggest mandate of 91 per cent in the 2004 elections.

Dr Mahathir’s criticisms led to BN losing its two-thirds majority in Election 2008 and four states, prompting Abdullah to quit office in 2009.

When Abdullah took office in 2003, he launched a high-profile 100-day programme that saw faster passport application processing and high profile anti-graft arrests.

In February 2004, former Perwaja Steel managing director Tan Sri Eric Chia and the then Land and Co-operative Development Minister Tan Sri Kasitah Gaddam were arrested for corruption.

On February 13, 2004, then Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim announced that at least another 18 high-profile corruption cases were with various authorities awaiting further action.

But there were no further arrests and both Chia and Kasitah won acquittals in their corruption charges.

Dr Mahathir had also launched a 100-day programme when he took office in 1981 and later expanded it in BN’s “Bersih, Cekap, Amanah” (Clean, Efficient, Trustworthy) manifesto in the 1982 polls.

People’s fiesta to ‘take back democracy’

KUALA LUMPUR: The people’s fiesta is not about toppling the government, rather, it is about taking back democracy, claimed NGO Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) chairman Badrul Hisham Shahrin.

Badrul Hisham, also known as Chegubard, said a coalition made up of nearly 50 NGOs named the People’s Voice 505 (Suara Rakyat 505) will be launching an event on May 25 at Padang Timur, located in front of Amcorp Mall to present evidences of electoral fraud in the 13th general election (GE13).

“We are going to the streets not to topple the government, but to re-claim democracy.

“The rakyat just want to take back the democracy which was stolen in GE13 due to the various electoral fraudulence,” said Chegubard.

Chegubard added that the fiesta will start in the evening with participants encouraged to wear black and said that this will not be the only such fiesta as many others will be launched all over the country with the dates to be announced soon.

“We will be presenting the evidences to the public by bringing witnesses and providing statistics,” he said.

No Malaysian Spring

Chegubard also stressed that there will be no such thing as an “Arab” or “Malaysian Spring”.

“I reiterate that there will not be any form of toppling the government during this event.

“Those harping on ideas of a Malaysian Spring are just scared of the rakyat getting together for a simple cause which is only to reclaim democracy.

“Other than presenting evidences, we will only be giving out flyers and CDs,” assured Chegubard.

He added that the fiesta will be launched based on three demands.

“Firstly, we want a new Election Commission (EC). We urge for the chairman, deputy chairman and other committee members to resign immediately to give way to an EC which is more independent and transparent.

“Since they are now nothing but the government’s tools, the EC should instead be under the powers of the Malaysian Parliament,” he said, adding that EC members must be chosen through public hearings.

Re-claiming stolen democracy


The coalition of NGOs also demanded for re-election at areas where there have been proof of electoral fraudulence.

“Re-elections at these areas must be conducted without taking into account a particular party’s logo.

“Even if the BN provide evidence of electoral fraud, we are prepared to work with them,” he said.

As for the people’s tribunal which was put forth by electoral watchdog Bersih: “We urge all agencies in Malaysia to make the people’s tribunal a priority because it cannot stand on its own without these agencies’ support.

“The people’s tribunal is important in exposing cases of electoral fraud done during GE13.

“I urge for everyone to come this Saturday regardless of race, religion and political party to re-claim our stolen democracy,” he said.

The former MIC chief may go for the top post or back a 'vibrant' candidate for the party president's post.

PETALING JAYA: Former MIC president S Samy Vellu is mulling options whether to contest the top post in the party’s presidential election.

Sources close to the former MIC chief revealed that Samy Vellu was contemplating of going for the top post, while his second option was to back a “strong and vibrant” leader in the MIC for the party’s top seat.

“However, he would gauge the views of supporters in the party first. Many division and branch leaders have met him and told him to make a comeback to revive the ailing MIC.

“Some have even pleaded with him to contest the president’s post. They expressed fear that the MIC might disintegrate under the present leadership (of G Palanivel). The former president has told these leaders that he was seriously considering going for the number one post.

“He also told the grassroots leaders that he too was not happy with the way the party was run,” said the source.

Speculation is rife that Samy Vellu, who still commands at least 45% support among delegates in the party, was unhappy with the way Palanivel has been running the MIC over the past four years.

Sources revealed that Palanivel, the Natural Resources and Environment Minister, knows that the former president is unhappy with the current state of affairs in the party.

“He met Samy Vellu end of last week when Samy Vellu returned from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Palanivel told Samy Vellu that he is nominating Vell Paari (Samy Vellu’s son) to the senate. He also told Samy Vellu that the ministry he heads now has many projects and contracts which can be used by Samy Vellu.

“However, Samy Vellu did not buy into this reasoning. We think he has already made up his mind on removing Palanivel,” said the source.

Samy Vellu relinquished his position in the party in 2010, after suffering a loss in the Sungai Siput parliamentary constituency at the 2008 general election. He had been at the helm of the largest Indian based political party in the country for more than three decades before his resignation.

Samy Vellu, who was works minister before his defeat in the 2008, had been president since 1979, when he was appointed acting president after the death of then president V Manikavasagam.

He stepped down in December, 2010 paving the way for Palanivel to become MIC’s acting president. The party was supposed to have held its internal elections last year but this was postponed due to the 13th general election.

It is expected to start holding elections at all levels in the MIC this year.

Palani’s leadership under fire


Various quarters have expressed their disappointment in Palanivel’s leadership. In the just concluded general election, the MIC fared worse that the last general election. Off the nine parliamentary and 18 state seats it contested, MIC only won four parliamentary and five state seats. This was two state seats short of MIC performance in 2008.

Apart from Samy Vellu, deputy president Dr S Subramaniam, who is now Health Minister, is also speculated to be eyeing the MIC top post. Another contender is said to be vice president M Saravanan, who is Youth and Sports deputy minister.

With Samy Vellu in the fray, these two leaders are expected to stay away from the race.

“However, if Samy Vellu decides to back another leader against Palanivel in the presidential race it would be either one of the two. Dr Subramaniam has experience being in the cabinet for two terms. He is more polished and diplomatic.

“Saravanan on the other hand will bring vibrancy to the party. He takes a more direct approach in handling things. Although these two leaders would make a good team, they are unlikely to form a pact in this party election. It all depends on what Samy Vellu decides,” said the source.

No agenda in meeting

Meanwhile in an immediate reaction, Vell Paari, who is also MIC strategy director, confirmed that Samy Vellu and Palanivel met recently.

“But Palanivel met my father because he did not meet my father after winning the Cameron Highlands seat…the meeting did not discuss Palanivel’s ministry or any senator’s position.

“The relationship between them is cordial and amicable,” he told FMT.

“There was no other agenda,” said Paari.

We Indians are a tolerant lot, OK?

We have been in the rubber, tin, oil palm and real estate business. I consider myself a patriotic Malaysian who loves the country. I used to stand up for the National Anthem (even when it sounded on TV!) during my school days. I volunteered to join the army medical corps as an army doctor serving in the jungles of Sabah and Sarawak.
Malays who came from Indonesia and Thailand, relatively recently, have become bumiputeras (sons of the soil) with special privileges. It’s OK.
Malays say they are a superior race with superior religion. It’s OK.
The Malays say “leave the country if you don’t like the government”. It’s OK. I am not leaving.
The Malays say their ancestors defeated the Chola and Paandya Empires and chased them out of the Malay peninsula. It’s OK. I wasn’t born then.
A Malay will serve beef when I go for a gathering (taboo to us Hindus), but I cannot serve pork in the presence of a Malay – it will become a national issue. It’s OK. I respect their religion.
The Chinese have higher rates for goods and lower qualities of products for us Indians compared to their fellow Chinese. It’s OK. There are not many Indian businesses anyway.
My so-called Chinese friends refuse to sell properties to me even if I am willing to pay a higher value because I am Indian. It’s OK. I cannot force them anyway.
When my family enters a swimming pool, most of the Chinese (esp. the less educated) will scramble out of the pool – and I am not bad looking. It’s OK. We can have the pool to ourselves.
When my friends have a problem with school work, the Chinese ‘friends’ will claim they are clueless, but will gladly explain in detail to another Chinese. It’s OK. They have been brought up that way.
When a Malay of Indian makes a mistake the Chinese will ‘jump’ on them, but when a fellow Chinese makes a mistake, it’s Ok. It’s OK.
When an Indian comes up in life the first person to try to bring him down will be an Indian!. It’s OK. We are brought up that way.

Xavier, Wong may be dropped from S'gor exco lineup

PETALING JAYA (May 20): PKR's Dr Xavier Jayakumar and Elizabeth Wong have accepted the possibility that they may not been reappointed to the Selangor state executive council.

This is apparently because the new lineup will feature six Malays and four non-Malays, as requested by the Sultan of Selangor to better reflect the racial composition of the assembly members.

With three or four of the non-Malay exco positions going to DAP, PKR will at the most have only one non-Malay representative in the lineup.

Wong, when contacted today, said she is committed towards working for her Bukit Lanjan state constituency and addressing environmental issues irrespective of whether she gets an exco post.

"Yes there is a possibility (of not being re-appointed) but it won't affect my resolve to represent my constituents and my work on the environment," she said.

"We place our trust in MB (Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim) to make the best decision on this matter (exco line-up)," she added.

Xavier told fz.com that PKR had agreed to include a non-Malay assembly member in its exco list but the decision was not final.

'There are a few names. We will have to wait and see," he said.

In previous discussions, Selangor Pakatan Rakyat leaders had agreed that the 10 exco positions would be equally distributed between Malays and non-Malays, with PAS representatives holding three posts (in addition to the speaker's post), DAP holding four posts and PKR holding three posts (as well as the menteri besar's post).

DAP had already mooted former speaker Datuk Teng Chang Khim and Seri Kembangan assembly member Ean Yong Hian Wah to fill two exco positions.

Teng was known to have thrown his name in the hat for the exco position even before the May 5 polls.

Also, DAP won more seats in Selangor compared to PKR. DAP and PAS each won 15 seats while PKR won 14 seats.

However, in a surprise announcement on Saturday, Abdul Khalid revealed the ratio of positions between DAP and PAS had switched.

According to a PKR source, the reason behind this was due to a proposal from the Sultan of Selangor for Malay elected representatives to assume six exco positions while non-Malay representatives will assume the remaining four exco positions to better reflect the racial composition of the newly elected state assembly.

Out of 56 state assembly members, 37 are Malays and 19 are non-Malays.

The previous exco lineup had five Malays and five non-Malays.

If Pakatan were to accede to the ruler's proposal, and maintained DAP's ratio of four exco positions, then PKR would have to nominate its Malay elected representatives for the exco posts and exclude Wong and Xavier.

The Pakatan leadership is now in discussion to solve the kerfuffle over the exco line-up.

Wong had previously championed environmental policies and worked on the drafting as well as implementation of the Freedom of Information legislation.

She had tabled an amendment to the National Forestry Act 1984 which calls for a public inquiry compulsory before a forest reserve can be de-gazetted. It was passed by the state assembly during its sitting in April 2011.

She also worked closely with orang asli communities, and embarked on a first attempt in the administrative history of the Selangor government to use geo-mapping
technology in order to delineate orang asli villages and native customary land in the state.

Wong also worked on the No Plastic Bag on Saturdays campaign which was successful in the state.

Xavier is known to champion Indian community issues.

He has worked on various matters, including the relocation and construction of Tamil schools, ironing out land matters affecting Tamil schools and improvement of Tamil school education via a committee made up of Selangor Pakatan leaders.

He also administered the relocation of Hindu temples as well as facilitated talks between former plantation workers and landowners for relocation.

Xavier also facilitated administrative matters to solve flooding woes in Taman Sentosa, with the construction of a water retention pond slated to begin soon.

Not everyone is as cowardly as you, Rafizi slams Zahid: Kedah rally is on, Mukhriz or not

UPDATED VIDEOS INSERTED PETALING JAYA PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli ridiculed his rivals in Umno for cowardice and being out of touch with the people over a spate of rallies that have taken the nation by storm.

"Intimidation and fear tactics don't work anymore. It only worked on Zahid Hamidi in 1998, that's why he turned around within the first 2 weeks after the first demo. If Zahid Hamidi thinks everyone is like him, he is sorely out of touch with the public," mocked Rafizi, who is also the newly-elected MP for Pandan.

"You can see that despite several statements made by the authorities, the people are still coming out because this is a big issue. I would suggest that Zahid does not interfere in the job of the police. Let the police do their work professionally. We don't need another Home Minister who makes the silliest comments."

Zahid's U-turn of the decade!

Rafizi was referring to Umno vice president Zahid Hamidi, who taking over as Home Minister from Hishammddin Hussein last week had promptly warned the Opposition and rally-goers that action would soon be taken against them.

In the 1990s, Zahid was a staunch supporter of Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, who had then been the Umno deputy president. Zahid had protested against Anwar's jailing on trumped-up sodomy and corruption charges in 1998, but recanted and cut all ties with Anwar after former premier Mahathir Mohamad threw him into jail under the Internal Security Act. Zahid was released in 1999 after he reversed his stance and declared loyalty to the Umno leadership controlled by Mahathir.

It is also worth noting that during the 53th Umno General Assembly in 1997, Zahid had lashed out against Mahathir, calling for an end to cronyism and nepotism in the government. In response, Mahathir publicized the names of those Malay/Bumiputeras who had received shares and high positions in government-linked corporations (GLCs) and these had included Zahid.

Not your father's country either : Stop the polemics and do your job!

Apart from sabre rattling on the Blackout 505 rallies spearheaded by Anwar and his Pakatan Rakyat coalition, Zahid has also attracted public odium for himself and his Umno party for saying that those unhappy with the current political system in Malaysia should migrate.

His brash comments sparked a wave of public condemnation and added impetus to the Blackout 505 movement to protest electoral fraud and to demand re-elections in seats where the Opposition claims it has accumulated evidence of vote-rigging and phantom voters.

Zahid's comments have also sparked a wave of "lu siapa" and "ini bukan negara bapa kau" (who are you to ask us to leave, this is not your father's country) comments against him at the rallies.

“This country is also not (Anwar’s) father's. It is neither my father’s country nor his father’s country,” Zahid said in an outburst to the press earlier this morning.

Although not a week has elapsed since he was picked to replace the controversial Hisham, who was slammed for stirring up hornets' nests and creating racial tensions, it looks like Zahid may "outperform" his predecessor going by the fires he has lit in just the space of a few days.

"If he has time, he should tackle the issue of false I.C.s and phantom voters. That is more in line with his job. He needs to know the boundaries and not interfere with the professional work of the police," said Rafizi.

Would anyone take heed of what Mukhriz says?

The 36-year-old PKR leader also slammed Mukhriz Mahathir for disallowing a Blackout 505 rally scheduled for Tuesday night to be held at a stadium in Alor Setar. Mukhriz, who is Mahathir's youngest son and newly-appointed chief minister of Kedah, had drawn flak for his high-handed action and accused of being "like father like son".

"It doesn't surprise us at all because they have always behaved us this way. It doesn't even register on our mind what he (Mukhriz) says or what kind of warnings he makes because we have stepped forward to a new Malaysia to a much more liberated Malaysia. What he thins belong to the past and I dont think a lot of people will take heed of what he says," said Rafizi

"We are more interested in maintaining professional relations with the police because public safety and public order is of utmost importance and we are sure that any rallies if done properly and with full cooperation with the police will have positive results as has taken place in the past two weeks."

New IGP and Blackout 505 in Kedah to proceed

When asked if the new Inspector General of Police Khalid Bakar who last week took over from the retiring Ismail Omar would affacet Pakatan's relations with the police, Rafizi said he would wait and see.

Khalid has been widely condemned over many cases and he has even been caught red-handed trying to cover up mis-practices and wrong-doings such as in the Kugan Ananthan murder case as well as in trying to insinuate wrong-doing on the part of the Opposition to give Prime Minister Najib Razak's administration a 'boost' in image.

Such partisan conduct by the senior members of the police force has led to a tremendous loss of public confidence in the police, with most Malaysians having the perception that their cops were out to harm them or solicit bribes rather to protect them and maintain law and order.

"We are more than willing to wait and see. I am more than willing to give the benefit of doubt to Khalid Bakar," said Rafizi.

He added that the Blackout 505 rally in Kedah would proceed and a new venue to be announced on the social media network soon.

"I am sure 40 to 50,000 people will still come to Alor Setar or Pokok Sena, even if it has to be held in Mahfuz Omar's house," said Rafizi, referring to the Kedah PAS commissioner, who is helping to organize the event.

Umno Baru's hidden agenda

When Ahmad Zahid Hamidi - the new home minister - told disgruntled opposition supporters that they should migrate if they were unhappy with the results of GE13, he had unwittingly confessed that Umno Baru has a hidden agenda.

This little-known plan is Umno Baru’s mass immigration policy and is a deliberate ploy fuelled by political self-interests. Asking people to emigrate will ensure that Malaysia is populated largely by Umno Baru-putras and selected foreigners.

Zahid reluctantly acknowledged that the rakyat was disappointed with the rigging of the polls, but at the same time, he revealed the fears of Umno Baru leaders. The cheating did not go as smoothly and secretly as they had intended.

Zahid possesses neither charisma nor intellect. His oft repeated line is for people to shape up or ship out. With each new political appointment, he stuns us with his ability to set new standards for boorish behaviour.

In 2008, he was appointed a minister in the Prime Minister’s Department of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi with a portfolio which included religious affairs and agencies like the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim). He caused controversy when he warned officers that they had to support the government’s policies, or leave.

When Abdullah resigned and Najib Abdul Razak took over in 2009, Zahid was made the defence minister. He invited criticism when he said that the low percentage of non-Malays in the armed forces showed that they lacked patriotism.

Last week, Zahid could not resist baiting the public, telling the people who opposed the results of GE13 to “migrate elsewhere”.

Now, one out of every seven people in the country is a foreigner. If we were to follow Zahid’s advice, this would increase to one in five. This is based upon a population of 28 million, however, none of the rakyat know the true population of the country. The census figures are another of Umno Baru’s dirty little secrets, which they use to exert control over the rakyat.

Zahid has the ability to make remarks without thinking of the consequences. Perhaps his mouth works faster than his brain. On the other hand, his boss, Najib prefers to keep mum when ministers make provocative statements.

A history with Najib and Anwar
The two men - Zahid and Najib - share a long history which started when Zahid became Najib’s political secretary in 1986, but Zahid has also been closely linked with Anwar.
In 1998, Zahid supported calls for the then prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to curb cronyism and nepotism. After a brief period of incarceration, Zahid claimed that he had been duped by Anwar to challenge Mahathir.
After a much publicised apology to Mahathir, Zahid returned to Umno Baru, presumably with more than just his reputation bolstered.

Malaysia’s youth are not as easily fooled by Umno Baru’s tactics, social networking sites keep them informed and in GE13, they demanded fairness and change.

Influential people like student activist Adam Adli have been threatened with sedition, Seri Setia assemblyperson Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (left) has been charged with organising a mass rally, and Anwar Ibrahim has predicted that the authorities will be arresting him soon.

Most of us are shaped by our experiences in youth. Friends who grew up with Mahathir claim that the young Mahathir saw a lot of poverty on his rounds as a doctor. He would have known about the economic disparities between the various races, and to be fair, he treated many people without charge.

When he became a politician, Mahathir probably realised that his affirmative action policies could not remain in perpetuity. He knew that as Malays became better educated and more affluent, they would not return to the rural areas.
He understood that as people became increasingly exposed to global changes and opened their minds to different experiences, his affirmative action polices would lose their appeal.

Mahathir (right) knew that if ordinary Malaysians refused to vote for Umno Baru, he would have to bring people in from overseas to address the shortfall.

Our poorer neighbours - Indonesia, the Philippines, Burma, Bangladesh and Pakistan - have several million people who would willingly work for longer hours and less money. By giving them jobs and promising them citizenship, they became indebted to Mahathir.

Only Malays may join Umno Baru, and hence only Malays are likely to vote for Umno Baru, so only Muslims who could become ‘instant Malays’ were imported.

Mahathir used these people, in a most evil fashion, to provide short-term economic benefits at the expense of ordinary Malaysians. His desire to give Umno Baru (and BN) long-term political and electoral advantages was even more pernicious.

The difficulty of introducing a Malaysian minimum working wage is widely known. Why would the authorities and employers approve this policy, when laws exist to import cheap labour to depress wages and control the people, the economy and future votes?

Rural folk made vulnerable

Mahathir abused people in the rural areas, as they were more vulnerable. He continued to neglect the rural communities by not providing job opportunities or by depriving them of infrastructure and services.
Many children of Felda settlers are graduates, but they are hampered by a lack of suitable jobs back in their communities and cannot make a valuable contribution to society.

Friends have complained of large numbers of Felda graduates who are unemployed. Some hold degrees in aeronautical engineering which cannot benefit their community, whilst others have complained that some graduates have skills which are not put to good use in their areas.

In the end, the disheartened youth gravitate to the cities, to be followed shortly by the older generation. Then, the rural areas become depopulated, and to sustain the economy, more foreign workers are smuggled in by the authorities.

With more foreigners, both legal and illegal being imported, the Umno Baru vote bank is endless. The migrants provide Umno Baru with votes, they generate production on the estates and boost the economy.

Umno Baru does not care that the urban areas are bursting with displaced Malaysians from the surrounding countryside.
Recently, parts of some cities are also being populated by foreigners. Malaysians have complained about a decline in services provided by hospitals, schools and community housing. The worst places record high rates of crime.

We know that from the 1980s onwards, Indians were displaced from the estates when plantations took over large tracts of land, perhaps, to satisfy Mahathir.

If the import of foreigners is not properly managed in the near future, the remaining Felda settlers and rural Malays will complete the exodus to the cities.

When that happens, and the Malays finally realise that Umno Baru has duped them, the recriminations will begin in earnest and Umno Baru will face a severe backlash from a cynical Malay community.

Then, politicians like Ahmad Zahid will wish that they had acceded to the relatively mild demands of free and fair elections from genuine Malaysians, rather than tell them to migrate.

No More Warnings, But Action Against Those Bent On Creating Trouble - Ahmad Zahid

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.PUTRAJAYA, May 20 (Bernama) -- The government would not be issuing warnings anymore but would act tough against individuals whose extreme actions would only disrupt public order, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi Monday.

He said the Inspector-General of Policen (IGP), and heads of departments and agencies under the home ministry had been given the full power to carry out the task within their respective jurisdiction and without political interference.

Ahmad Zahid said any action taken by the ministry to maintain public order must not be regarded as politically motivated but was based on the existing laws of the country.

Hence, he reminded the opposition leaders not to politicise the actions to be taken by the authorities in order to preserve peace and stability in the country.

He warned these leaders that they would face a big risk if they insisted on being stubborn.

"Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng should differentiate political objectives and political measures from the implementation of laws. Do not politicise every law enforcement by the IGP and other agencies under the ministry.

"We will not compromise but will act in accordance with the existing Acts and enactments. We will not give anymore warnings, so don't be angry with us when we take action," he said at a news conference in conjunction with his first day as home minister, here.

Also present were his deputy Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and the new IGP, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

To ensure smooth implementation of whatever by the ministry, Ahmad Zahid said it required the cooperation, support, views, suggestions and feedback from all quarters including the local communities, institutions, NGOs and political leaders from in and outside the government.

"This is not for our (Barisan Nasional) own political interest but for the good of society and country," he said.

On statements made by opposition leaders over various matters recently, Ahmad Zahid said these could be argued out in parliament.

"As politicians, we meet in the political arena, not on the street or at the open field but in the Dewan Rakyat," he added.

In KUALA LUMPUR, Ahmad Zahid later gave an assurance that there would no political interference in the police's jurisdiction in upholding the laws to maintain peace and stability in accordance with the power accorded to them.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to Bukit Aman, he said as long as actions taken by the police were not against the law, they should not be disputed by any quarters.

He said the Home Ministry had emphasised the need for the police to enhance cooperation with law enforcement agencies, particularly the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, in managing change and tackling social media wave as it was capable of destabilising the country.

On the arrest of student activist Adam Adli Abd Halim on Saturday for his involvement in a May 13 forum, Ahmad Zahid said the student activist had allegedly inciting the people to overthrow the government through demonstrations, a call deemed to be undemocratic as he advocated waging a war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

"The government was formed through a democratic system and a coup through an uprising to form the government had never occurred in the country before.

"Seizing power undemocratically is against the Federal Constitution and an utter disregard to the position of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong," said Ahmad Zahid.

Over in Penang, another group of 40 students and other members of the public held a vigil along Jalan Sungai Dua, near the side gate of USM, under the watchful eyes of police.
An unknown rival group of about 15 middle-aged men gathered nearby with their own loud-hailer, according to an activist at the scene. “A small group of them came up to us and shoved us a little, but others in our group came to help. Two reporters – Chia Ming from Malaysiakini and Brynn from Nanyang – were pushed in the gathering as well.”
Another eye-witness said the the rival group addressed those in the vigil, some of whom were students, and told them, “We cherish peace and harmoney, why are you gathering here? After all, the DAP has won in Penang, so what are you protesting about? Go back and study; you are studying in a government university – you should be thankful (syukur) for that.” Or words to that effect in Malay.
The vigil in Penang ended at about 9.00pm without further incident,

This seems to be becoming a a daily fare.

Steven, tell me that I am wrong. If u were in my position would you not come to the conclusion that there does seem to be an agenda to play down Hindraf. 

Steven, if MK does represent a new form of journalistic liberalism as you will want us to believe, then it must stop engaging in these kind of gutter journalistic practices. 'Waytha not serious in resolving stateless Indians'

The five years that Deputy Minister P Waythamoorthy needs to fix the problem of stateless Indians is but an excuse for not resolving the problem, said PKR.

Party vice president N Surendran in a statement today blasted Waythamoorthy’s statement as “a complete betrayal of the Indian community by the Najib-BN regime”.

“The time period of five years is excessive, unacceptable and simply an excuse not to resolve the stateless problem.

“It is clear from Waythamoorthy's statement that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and the BN have no genuine intention to end the suffering of the stateless Indians,” he said.

He added that the leader of the Hindraf faction that had signed a memorandum of understanding with Najib prior to his appointment as a deputy minister, had lied about PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim’s commitment to resolving the long-standing issue.

Waythamoorthy on Saturday claimed that Anwar had mislead the public, and that the latter was only going to issue ICs for 20,000 cases pending with the National Registration Department (NRD).

“This is a complete lie. Anwar has repeatedly pledged to resolve all cases of statelessness, which includes the 300,000 stateless Indians.

“This is clear from the latest statement on the subject issued by Anwar on March 7, 2013 and available on anwaribrahimblog.com,” said the Padang Serai MP.

‘Dragging feet’
He said the BN was merely “dragging its feet” on the issue that involved people who have “lived in Malaysia for generations” who were “already citizens by operation of law” but denied documentation because of the NRD’s bureaucracy.

“They are stateless because the NRD under the Home Ministry's directions have thrown up a wall of bureaucratic and unreasonable conditions against stateless Indians who apply for blue MyKads.

“There is no basis whatsoever to take another five years to resolve the problem,” he said.

He added that in the five years that Waythamoorthy proposes to take to solve the problem, 49,000 stateless Indian children would have been deprived their education and thus have their futures “ruined”.

He reminded the new deputy minister that Pakatan Rakyat has pledged and is committed to resolve the problem within 100 days of forming the federal government,

“Resolving the terrible plight of stateless Malaysians will be a priority for any Pakatan Rakyat administration,” he said.

In what the opposition called a "cheap gimmick", Prime Minister Najib Razak handed out 120 MyKads to stateless Indians in April.

During the exercise, the NRD claimed that turnout to receive the documents showed that the number of stateless was not 300,000 as PKR claims.

'Waytha behaving like demented witch'

In another related development, MIC slammed Waythamoorthy's statement last Saturday that he will not work with MIC despite MIC deputy President Dr S Subramaniam extending an olive branch to him.

"MIC has endeavoured and offered to work with Waythamoorthy out of respect for the prime minister's choice. But surely the prime minister would not have expected such vile behaviour from one of his deputy ministers," said MIC national treasurer Jaspal Singh in a statement today.

Describing Waythamoorthy (left) as "clearly insincere and intent on self-aggrandisement", Jaspal said Waythamoorthy had used Hindraf as a platform to negotiate a position for himself even to the extent of betraying a member of his own family.

The senator stressed that the issues of Indian community can only be addressed with the cooperation of the ministries within the government.

"Waythamoorthy says he has a plan for everything. He remains coy, however, on the details, probably because there aren't any.

"So we will leave Waythamoorthy to continue behaving like a demented witch with a secret potion. His brand of snake oil will be exposed once applied. It will cure no ills."

On the other hand, Jaspal said MIC will continue to work hard on uplifting the Indian community and transparent reports will be released on a regular basis to keep all stakeholders informed of the progress.

"There are those who doubt us. We seek no quarrel with them but invite them to meet us and give us their views. Where they have constructive ideas, whether they are activists or oppositionists, we will be happy to work with them towards the common good of the community," he added.

Work with BN component parties, Waytha told

MIC CWC member KP Samy believes that all BN component parties should work together and avoid internal squabbles.

PETALING JAYA: MIC Central Working Committee (CWC) member KP Samy has urged P Waythamoorthy to work hand in hand with Barisan Nasional component parties.

Waythamoorthy was named a deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s post-GE13 cabinet. He will be made a senator before that.

Samy claimed that even BN component parties such as MIC, PPP and Gerakan had thrown their support behind Hindraf during the rally in 2007 which caused a political tsunami in the 2008 elections.

“Waythamoorthy has to admit that we were all behind them, I personally bailed 130 participants who were arrested during the rally,” he said.

“Now he has to tow PM Najib Tun Razak’s line and work together with us for the betterment of BN on the whole,” he added.

Samy said he was happy that Waythamoorthy was chosen by the PM and had no qualms about it.

“I myself am a Hindraf activist and Waythamoorthy is my good friend, I have faith that he will work together with us without any pride and prejudice,” he said.

Samy also cleared the air on rumours that he had tendered his resignation because he was not given a senatorship.

“I was clearly misunderstood. I had never looked forward to any positions or titles all my years in MIC, until now I’m only known as KP Samy,” he said.

“The main reason I handed in my resignation was to pave the way for the younger generation and for more capable party members.

“But MIC president G Palanivel refused to accept my resignation as he feels I will still be able to perform,” he added.

Full backing for Najib

Samy claimed that all BN component parties have to put their differences aside and work together with the PM to prove their relevance.

“Internal squabbles within BN component parties should be stopped immediately,” he said.

“I believe the PM will appoint those who can perform and the long serving members should step aside for the younger generation,” he added.

Samy also said that the PM was on the right path and he would continue to throw his support behind BN till his last breath.

“No other PM has given this much recognition to the Indian community. I believe he is genuine and the right person to lead the nation,” he said.

“Even if I do not get the senatorship, I will continue to support MIC and BN because I believe I can still help prove their relevance and rake in the support of the people. There is no way I’ll join the opposition,” he added.

The MIC CWC meeting is scheduled for 24 May to gauge the credibility of the current MIC members.

Apa lagi Hindraf mahu?

Sekilas pandang terhadap Hindraf berikutan pelantikan Waythamoorthy sebagai timbalan menteri dalam Kabinet Najib.

  Jika ada orang mengatakan plot (jalan cerita) filem-filem Tamil adalah tidak logik dan di luar pemikiran akal rasional, mereka patut mengikuti perkembangan Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) sejak 2007.

Pada 5 April 2013, menjelang Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13 (PRU-13), saya turut menerima risalah yang diedarkan oleh Human Rights Party (HRP) dalam kempen “hantar calon Hindraf pertama ke Parlimen”. Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (Hindraf) pula sudah diluluskan pendaftarannya pada 8 Mac 2013.

Pada perkembangan plot ini, harus dinyatakan bahawa “Hindraf” yang dinyatakan oleh HRP adalah berbeza dengan “Hindraf” yang sudah diluluskan oleh Pendaftar Pertubuhan Malaysia (ROS). Saya ada menghuraikan perkara ini menerusi makalah bertajuk “Politikus dalam selimut” (Free Malaysia Today, 19 April 2013).

Umum mengetahui bahawa Hindraf pimpinan P Waythamoorthy adalah sebuah pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) yang tiba-tiba diluluskan dua hari sebelum dia memulakan mogok lapar selama 21 hari. Kemudian, berlaku pertemuan antara Waythamoorthy dan Pengerusi Barisan Nasional (BN), Najib Razak.

Memorandum persefahaman (MoU) ditandatangani antara BN pimpinan Najib dan Hindraf pimpinan Waythamoorthy pada 18 April lalu; dan selebihnya adalah sejarah. Memandangkan sejarah ditulis oleh pihak yang menang, jangan terkejut jika buku-buku teks Sejarah di sekolah seluruh Malaysia pada masa depan mengangkat Waythamoorthy setaraf Mahatma Gandhi.

“Berpuasa selama 21 hari – cara termurah menjual konsep dan perjuangan Mahatma Gandhi.” Demikian komen Ravi Rathinam, seorang rakan perunding kewangan dari Bahau, Negeri Sembilan berhubung perkembangan plot Hindraf dalam politik Malaysia.

Mengimbau sejarah silam, Hindraf yang bermula sebagai sebuah gerakan pada tahun 2006 dan kemudian bertukar menjadi “tsunami” pada 25 November 2007, pernah diwartakan sebagai pertubuhan haram oleh Kerajaan BN pada 15 Oktober 2008.

Menteri Dalam Negeri (waktu itu), Syed Hamid Albar dalam kenyataan yang disiarkan di Utusan Malaysia (16 Oktober 2008) berkata, perintah pengharaman itu dibuat hasil daripada pemantauan dan penyiasatan Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia di bawah Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) semenjak Hindraf ditubuhkan.

“Pengisytiharan itu diwartakan setelah KDN berpuas hati dengan segala fakta dan bukti bahawa Hindraf telah dan sedang digunakan bagi maksud memudaratkan ketenteraman awam dan keselamatan negara dan akhlak,” katanya.

Kedudukan Hindraf sebagai pertubuhan haram masih kekal pada 2009, selepas Najib mengambil alih tampuk pemerintahan daripada Abdullah Ahmad Badawi sebagai Perdana Menteri.

Menteri Dalam Negeri (waktu itu), Hishammuddin Hussein dilaporkan dalam Utusan Malaysia (12 Mei 2009) sebagai berkata, permohonan Hindraf bagi mengkaji semula status pengharaman itu telah ditolak.

Kenyataan itu adalah berikutan pembebasan lima pemimpin Hindraf daripada tahanan di bawah Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA). Waythamoorthy adalah “pemimpin keenam” yang berjaya melarikan diri ke India – dan kemudian ke United Kingdom – bagi mendapatkan suaka politik selepas penangkapan abangnya, P Uthayakumar pada hujung tahun 2007.

Pada Disember 2008, Ketua Polis Negara (waktu itu), Musa Hassan dilaporkan berkata, jika Waythamoorthy pulang, tindakan undang-undang akan diambil ke atasnya. Hishammuddin pula tidak mahu membuat sebarang spekulasi walaupun Waythamoorthy pada Mei 2009 sudah menyatakan cadangan untuk pulang.

Kemarahan Uthayakumar tidak berasas

“Waythamoorthy adalah seorang ahli perniagaan yang bijak,” kata Jeevan Supramaniam, seorang ahli perniagaan dari Kluang, Johor berikutan ‘durian runtuh’ yang diterima oleh individu itu daripada Najib baru-baru ini.

Pada 26 Januari 2013, perintah pengharaman Hindraf mengikut Seksyen 5 Akta Pertubuhan 1966 ditarik balik oleh KDN. Tindakan drastik itu secara terang-terangan dilihat sebagai usaha BN mahu memancing undi kaum India dalam PRU-13. Tiba-tiba, Hindraf bukan lagi “sebuah pertubuhan yang berbahaya”.

Andaikan ini sebuah filem Tamil. Kita bergerak terus ke babak yang berlatar belakangkan tarikh 18 April 2013. Parlimen sudah dibubarkan pada 3 April 2013 dan penamaan calon PRU-13 akan berlangsung dalam masa dua hari lagi.

Pada masa sama, Najib dan sekutunya semakin terdesak untuk memancing undi kaum India; khususnya dua hari selepas Najib bertindak “terlebih bijak” meletakkan lelaki rasis, ultra kiasu, etnosentrik dan fanatik bernama Zulkifli Noordin bertanding sebagai “rakan BN” bagi merebut kerusi Parlimen Shah Alam.

Pada tarikh 18 April itu, sebaik sahaja MoU ditandatangani antara BN dan Hindraf, Waythamoorthy menyeru kaum India supaya kembali menyokong BN agar gabungan parti-parti politik berasaskan kaum itu boleh menang majoriti dua pertiga dalam PRU-13.

Pada waktu yang sama – bayangkan seperti paparan pada skrin pawagam – Uthayakumar terasa amat kecewa dengan tindakan adiknya. Baginya, Waythamoorthy sudah “merampas” (hijack) Hindraf.

Bagi si adik, MoU yang digelar “pelan tindakan lima tahun Hindraf-BN untuk masyarakat India” adalah penting bagi meningkatkan taraf pekerja ladang, menyelesaikan isu tiada taraf kewarganegaraan (statelessness), peluang pendidikan dan peluang perniagaan.

Kamera kembali memaparkan wajah Uthayakumar. Tarikh: 19 April 2013; sehari sebelum tarikh penamaan calon PRU-13. HRP masih merayu-rayu kepada Anwar Ibrahim menerusi Facebook supaya diberikan peluang bertanding atas tiket PKR. Ternyata pegangan HRP untuk berjuang bagi “kaum India miskin” gagal menarik perhatian Anwar dan PKR.

Dua hari kemudian (21 April), penasihat Hindraf, N Ganesan mengaku bahawa pendaftaran Hindraf sudah diluluskan pada 8 Mac tetapi mereka sengaja “merahsiakan” supaya boleh diumumkan secara rasmi pada persidangan kebangsaan yang dijadualkan pada hari itu (21 April).

“Kes tuntutan terhadap kerajaan United Kingdom kerana kecuaian mereka ke atas kaum India di negara ini apabila mereka meninggalkan Tanah Melayu pada tahun 1957 masih dalam proses dan akan diteruskan walau apa pun perkembangan di sini sekarang. Gabungan BN-Hindraf tidak akan mengubah pendirian Hindraf dalam kes tuntutan itu,” kata Ganesan kepada media.

Menurut laporan Free Malaysia Today (27 April 2013), Uthayakumar mengaku bahawa dialah pemimpin sebenar Hindraf dan adiknya, Waythamoorthy, sekadar memantau gerakan itu sementara dia (Uthayakumar) masih dalam tahanan ISA.

“Waythamoorthy adalah pengkhianat (traitor) dan sudah terkeluar daripada landasan perjuangan Hindraf. Maka, majlis tertinggi memutuskan untuk melucutkannya daripada Hindraf pada 25 April,” kata individu itu yang bertanding sebagai calon bebas (dan hilang wang deposit) di Parlimen Kota Raja dan DUN Seri Andalas dalam PRU-13.

Agak menarik untuk diperhatikan bahawa dalam suatu wawancara media (6 Disember 2007), Uthayakumar mengakui Waythamoorthy sebagai pengerusi Hindraf. Bagaimanapun, pada 20 April 2013, Uthayakumar mengaku bahawa dialah pemimpin sebenar Hindraf.

Apa yang nyata dan tidak boleh dipertikaikan oleh Uthayakumar, seperti dilaporkan Utusan Malaysia (16 Mei 2013), “Pengerusi Barisan Bertindak Hak Penganut Hindu (Hindraf), P Waythamoorthy diletakkan sebagai Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri.”

Pejuang kaum India atau oportunis politik?


Seorang penjawat awam dari Shah Alam, T Selva menyifatkan perkembangan plot ini sebagai “suatu usaha terancang oleh Waythamoorthy dan Najib untuk menghapuskan MIC”.

Uthayakumar ternyata tidak mahu mengaku kalah. Maklumlah, dia yang bercita-cita mahu menjadi “calon Hindraf pertama di Parlimen” tetapi kini adiknya pula menjadi Senator dengan amat mudah.

Bagi si abang, adiknya adalah “political opportunist” dan “the latest Indian mandore” serta pelantikannya dalam Kabinet Najib tiada apa-apa kaitan dengan Hindraf, seperti dilaporkan di Free Malaysia Today (16 Mei 2013).Suara bantahan juga datang daripada Ketua Pemuda MIC Kebangsaan, T Mohan. Katanya, pelantikan Waythamoorthy oleh Najib hanya akan mengurangkan sokongan kaum India terhadap BN.

“Najib tidak membincangkan dahulu pelantikan itu dengan MIC sedangkan kami wakil kaum India dalam BN sejak 55 tahun lalu. Orang sudah mula mempersoalkan mengapa BN tidak menghormati MIC. Najib sepatutnya boleh sahaja mempertimbangkan untuk melantik timbalan menteri dari IPF yang setia kepada BN sejak 22 tahun lalu,” katanya dalam laporan yang disiarkan di The Kuala Lumpur Post (16 Mei 2013).

Presiden IPF, M Sambanthan juga tampil menyuarakan “harapan” pada 18 Mei lalu bahawa Najib yang bercakap mengenai “nambikei” (trust) akan memberikan pengiktirafan sewajarnya terhadap parti politik itu berikutan kejayaan BN mengekalkan kuasa dalam PRU-13.

“Kami tetap yakin bahawa Najib dan BN akan memberikan sesuatu untuk kami,” katanya dengan penuh mengharap dalam laporan Bernama.

Sementara itu, MIC sendiri dibidas kerana masih leka menganjurkan acara muzikal, hiburan, pertandingan futsal dan sebagainya. Menurut ketua bahagian MIC Kota Raja, RS Maniam, bukan itu yang dimahukan oleh generasi muda kaum India. Sekiranya MIC gagal berubah, maka parti politik itu akan menjadi tidak relevan (Free Malaysia Today, 18 Mei 2013).

Sehari sebelum itu, menerusi laporan dalam Bernama, S Subramaniam meminta ahli MIC menerima kepimpinan Waythamoorty. Pada pandangannya, Najib tentu ada alasan untuk membawa masuk pemimpin Hindraf itu yang suatu masa dahulu kuat menentang MIC dan BN. Beliau turut mengakui bahawa pelantikan Waythamoorthy tidak dibincangkan oleh Najib dengan MIC terlebih dahulu.

Apa-apa yang berlaku tidaklah menghairankan. Pada 16 April lalu, apabila Najib dengan bangga mengangkat Zulkifli Noordin sebagai calon “rakan BN”, MIC tidak cukup jantan untuk bersuara. Sebaliknya menyeru kaum India menyokong lelaki rasis itu sebagai “pejuang hak kaum India”. Thanenthiran dari Parti Makkal Sakti Malaysia pula mahu kaum India “memaafkan Zulkifli” (Bernama, 19 April 2013).

Di pihak Waythamoorthy, dia tidak perlu kisah atau ambil pusing terhadap “salakan” Uthayakumar dan MIC kerana dia mendapat mandat secara langsung daripada Najib. Waythamoorthy tidak tertakluk pada syarat dan peraturan MIC. Ringkasnya, kedudukannya di sisi Najib adalah lebih tinggi daripada Presiden MIC, G Palanivel sendiri.

Dalam satu sidang media pada 18 Mei lalu, Waythamoorthy berjanji akan membuktikan kemampuannya dalam masa lima tahun untuk “mengubah nasib kaum India” sebagai Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri.

Persoalan yang boleh sama-sama kita renungkan adalah apa yang telah dilakukan oleh Palanivel sejak lima tahun lalu di Jabatan Perdana Menteri? Maka, pelantikan Waythamoorthy sesungguhnya boleh dilihat sebagai tamparan hebat Najib kepada kemampuan MIC.

Waytha: ‘Give me five years’

The newly-minted deputy minister in the prime minister's department vows to prove his critics wrong and solve the problems plaguing the Indian community in the next five years.

KUALA LUMPUR: Hindraf chairman P Waythamoorthy today said he would prove himself a capable deputy minister and solve all the problems plaguing the Indian community in the next five years.

Describing his appointment as a “historic opportunity to change the fortunes of the Indian community”, Waytha said his appointment has been consented to by the Hindraf leadership and state leaders.

“In a war, the object should be victory. Ours is the acceptance of Hindraf’s blueprint by the government and the responsibility given to us to implement socio-economic programmes in the blueprint,” he told a press conference today.

Waytha said his detractors such as Anwar Ibrahim, his subordinates, DAP and the party’s cybertroopers were unfit to criticise his appointment as they have ignored the Indian problems.

“To those critics, we say, go ahead and say whatever you want. We will prove all of you wrong and make you eat your words in time and people will take care of you in the next elections,” he said.

He also refuted his brother P Uthayakumar’s notions his appointment has nothing to do with Hindraf because he has been expelled from the movement, saying that it was the other way round.

“In Hindraf we’ve always maintained that we are not a political party, but some of them have gone to form a new political party. Uthayakumar has set up his Human Rights Party Malaysia. He has left us, and he has no right to criticise us,” said Waytha.

Waytha to head a new unit

Waytha and Uthayakumar were instrumental in mobilising thousands of Indians to take to the streets of Kuala Lumpur on the eve of the 2008 General Election to protest against the alleged decades of discrimination by the government against the Indians.

However, in the aftermath of the rally, the brothers were at odds on how to implement the Hindraf’s five-year blueprint to uplift the Indian community.

Waytha embarked on 21-day hunger strike to get political parties to endorse the blueprint prior to the 13th general election.

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak subsequently inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hindraf and pledge to improve the socio-economic status of the Indians.

Waythamoorthy today denied that a deal struck between Hindraf and the government to make him a minister when the MOU was signed.

He said it was only agreed upon then that a new unit would be set up by the PMD to look into the Indian affairs.

“Now that the unit would be setup, we are pleased to head the unit,” he said.

Asked if he would emulate Pakatan Rakyat’s promise to resolve the stateless Indian problems within 100 days of taking power, Waytha said he would focus on permanent solutions rather than short-term measures.

“We have a mechanism, and the government has agreed in principal. We believe we would be able to solve the entire Indian problems within the next five years,” he said.

Accept PM's appointment of Waythamoorthy, Dr Subra tells MIC members

PUTRAJAYA: MIC deputy president Datuk Seri S Subramaniam has urged members to accept the prime minister's decision to include Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) chairman P.Waythamoorthy into the Cabinet.

He reiterated that the party, however, held a different view from the prime minister.
He said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak must have certain reasons to bring in the Hindraf leader who was once a strong opponent and vocal critic of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government and MIC for purportedly not looking after the lot of the Indian community.

"The matter (Waythamoorthy's appointment) was not discussed with us (MIC) and it came as a surprise news.

"Well, he (Najib) had made the decision, although our views are different (and) there have been reactions from the Indian community.

"So, we have to honour and respect him (Najib), and we need to accept Waythamoorthy," Dr Subramaniam said after attending a farewell reception for him and former human resources deputy minister Datuk Maznah Mazlan, hosted by the ministry.

Dr Subramaniam retained the Segamat seat in the 13th general election, has been appointed Health Minister.

Maznah retained the Muadzam Shah state seat in Pahang.

Dr Subramaniam said what was important now was Waythamoorthy's willingness to work as a team with MIC in the interest of the Indian community in particular, and the people as a whole.
"It is very important that we can work as a group. I hope the MIC members too will accept the PM's decision (on Waythamoorthy)," he added.

The Kelantan-born Waythamoorthy is the first leader from an Indian-based civil society organisation to be appointed deputy minister.

Waythamoorthy says he’s a ‘performer

KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 — Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) chairman P. Waythamoorthy has dismissed criticism following his government appointment last Wednesday.

He was named deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, despite being head of the Indian rights movement that organised a mass protest in 2007 against the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, leading to the community’s rejection of the ruling coalition in Election 2008.

“Let them talk. I’m a performer,” Waythamoorthy (picture) was quoted as saying by English daily New Straits Times today.

Waythamoorthy’s appointment appears to be reward for his role in returning Indian support for BN.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that the Indian vote in Election 2013 was evenly split between BN and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties.

Less than three weeks before the polls, Waythamoorthy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the BN government headed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, purportedly to improve the Indian community’s economic standing after negotiations with PR failed.

Just days after the signing of the document, his brother and Hindraf co-founder P. Uthayakumar said that Waythamoorthy has been sacked as the movement’s chairman.

Hindraf’s 2007 protest before the Election 2008 “political tsunami”, where BN lost its customary two-thirds majority in Parliament, had led to the group being banned.

However, earlier this year in a strategically-timed move, the Najib administration agreed to lift the ban in anticipation of the 13th general election.

The Indian community makes up about 950,000 of the country’s 13.3 million registered voters and is a significant minority in 60 of the 222 federal seats.
