LONDON, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun
Razak spent about one-and-a-half hours meeting with Malaysian
professionals here, resuming his working visit despite concerns over St
Jude storm that swept South West England and Wales.
The networking lunch with the Malaysian diaspora was organised by the
Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), the national
trade promotion agency.
Also present were Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk
Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Matrade Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Wong
Lai Sum.
Malaysian High Commissioner to United Kingdom Datuk Seri Zakaria Sulong also attended the event.
Some 20 working professionals across various sectors including fund
management, legal, banking and properties, took the opportunity to see
the prime minister, who is currently on a working visit to Manchester
and London from Oct 27 to Oct 31.
Earlier, Najib cancelled his trip to Manchester due to severe weather as a result of St Jude's storm.
